Sources suggesting that Coinbase has already had discussions with counsel about the delisting of $XRP.

It seems two potential plans are forming, one which puts the delisting on Friday. Unclear which Coinbase products it will impact but most likely Coinbase and Pro.

I'm really concerned about this ripple case. Not because i care about ripple (never ever had even a 1$ invested, maybe daytraded it once or twice) but isn't it the first attack, which will then expand on all tokens behind which companies are standing and which have acquired capital in the form of ICO (f.e BNB, KCS, HB) or even all ICOs (including etherum)?

I know that there is no way to sue majority of ICO projects but it is possible to force exchanges registered in US to delist them. Can you imagine coinbase, bittrex without 99% of coins?

It looks like that will happen. I do believe if ripple can be considered as security coin and coinbase was in the watching situation. The coinbase is still watching ripple and another US based exchange site was also doing it dude.
SEC was putting their eyes since a few years ago towards ripple. I can't believe if jed as a former CTO of ripple became the rich man caused by he was dumping the premined coin only.

it is all rumor and rumor. it is not yet confirmed whether they will delist Ripple or Not and if they succeeded in delisting ripple, it think that will be the end of the business for them. i hope rippple come up with a solution to prevent further price dump. the alt coins has been affected with the XRP saga and the market is going down seriously.

I feel bad for ripple, with lots of testing and companies trying to use it, every year they are taking hit from both sides, and now it's getting serious, and its the toughest fight from all the lawsuit they have a deal in the past, with that price also been affected from .6 USD it's gone down to half, I'm not a holder of the coin but, things are not going their way here is the current price now: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/xrp/
not a good way to end the year.

oh shit...
it got even worse, Coinbase will remove XRP from their platform. This will be a tragedy, and will probably be followed by other US-based exchanges. I'm waiting for Ripple's statement on this problem, what solutions will they take to solve this problem. whether ripple will admit their mistake and pay a fine or make a defense. their every statement will determine their future.

I also saw on Twitter that XRP coins have been de-listed by Coinbase.
I don't know exactly.
If anyone knows, let them know if the news is true or false.
Because I held XRP.
And want to hold some more XRP.

I feel bad for ripple,

I'm reading a lot about this case right now. Its not as bad as i thought (to other alts) but its bad AS for ripple. This is part of sue:

link

I thought that this sue is because of collecting funds form ICO 8 years ago. Its not, its because they are constantly emitting coins, dumping on investors, misleading investors, use insider knowledge to manipulate etc.etc. They were warned by SEC and after that they decided to take a risk. Its completely different story compared to BNB (mentioned by me before) that collected only 15 mln $ from ICO and are now doing buyback. Ripple is constantly dumping shit load of XRP - already collected 1.8 billion $.

wow man? really! i saw the tweet right now and i must say that this will be a terrible information to hear by the lovers of XRP. It was just doing good and gathering alot of investors that dived in and bought it in the last days making a growth of more than 100% in a short period of time. I do care to learn more about the law violation and the updates, so sad for the community behind xrp.

If coinbase really delisting XRP on their exchange, of course this will cause tremendous panic, especially XRP holders will soon be dumped on a large scale. While the Ripple and SEC cases are not yet resolved, this also has a very negative effect.
Look like there is something very strange happening with this all or its going to be some tough stance against crypto by USA officials because if mostly they are going to crack down then US based exchanges takes very quickly decision's and done these type shits which hurt this crypto very badly in long run.

Coinbase will probably delist XRP. That is the next step US-based exchanges will probably make. It is either because they are afraid they will also get penalized for offering an illegal token for trading, or they are not in the best position to stick to a coin which is being sued no less than the SEC, or they also consider XRP an illegal security. Either way, Ripple is damned. XRP is going to fall if this will go on. It seems the end is near for XRP.

Yh, I agree with you. This mist be the beginning of a new problem extended to many Alts. However, in the case of XRP the case is different since the sue by the America SSC because they were found to operate illegally. This might  not be true for all 99.9% of alts but still it is a concern for the future of alts that you can't avoid at the moment.

What will be the future of money locked in XRP right now? If Coinbase delists Ripple, it'll be harder for holders to cash out crypto. So the price predictably will go down.

if coinbase is going to delist XRP, this is a big disaster for XRP holders / investors, XRP prices pump significantly when there is an announcement of the spark airdrop program but after that the SEC lawsuit came, this makes the price of xrp dump hard.
many people think the spark airdrop is the last pump for XRP.

Ripple is taking a constant hit. Big investors are giving up their Ripple investments. Coinbase may eliminate Ripple off the list very soon. If this happens, Ripple will suffer tremendous damage  Sad

It seems two potential plans are forming, one which puts the delisting on Friday. Unclear which Coinbase products it will impact but most likely Coinbase and Pro.

It's just a suggestion but the decision will be made only when they lose the battle of SEC I think that's what coinbase is waiting the result of sue to them.

No I don't think big investors will easily lose their faith in XRP they will hold it even xrp got this bad news they can sell it but not in this price maybe they sold it already before the price decline or before sec officially announced it.

It is expected since Coinbase always wanted to be in compliance with US regulation.  With the ripple case, Coinbase doesn't want the possible damage if ever the case against ripple escalated.  So they will definitely design a plan that will let them avoid bad consequences to the point of delisting XRP.

That was the case before 2017, before the ICO boom and it was everything but bad.

I can Imagine it just fine and I hope it happens.

XRP is one of the largest coinmarketcap coins and delisting from a platform like coinbase will impact the overall market. After SEC news the whole market became red along with XRP and this could go further down if coinbase delisted XRP. But I think this just a rumor because so many companies are involved with XRP and they won't let XRP down.

Rumors itself already bring a huge impacts to the entire market, we are seeing a huge dumped following this another bad news to this

project, if coinbase consider this move then expect more CEX to follow. it will create more dumped as investors and traders will jumped

before the whole system collapse.
