"The next 100x-1000x coin?" bitcointalk thread ----> 3 years after!

One of the biggest topic about speculation started in August 2017: "The next 100x-1000x coin? "
We are all aware that price speculation in crypto currencies has always a strong interest between users.

In my analysis I take in count 1000 posts and 834 predictions (from Aug - Dec 2017).
For each predictions has been verified the value during these days (CMC historical price feature).

If a coin has been removed from CMC (and website is offline) has been excluded by the analysis and counted as "Dead".
If a coin has been removed from CMC (website is online, with at least a market) has been excluded by the analysis and counted as "Not Listed".
If a coin was not listed during that time has been excluded by the analysis and counted as "Not Listed".
Actual values are updated up to 17 Dec. 2020.

But what really happens about all these predictions? It could be possible find some patterns?

No, no one has predicted a coin with a such high pump. The maximum has been 56x.
Other coins suggested in a different timeframe have realized both negative and profit results !
CAN YOU GUESS WHAT COIN?

64,5% of total predictions realized a negative profit or literally dump to 0.
13,1% of total predictions realized a positive profit.

How did you interpretate this data?

Nice stat read for a bit, I am not even really interested in these 100x debates but it would be interesting to look at the ones that actually came through and see what exactly made the coin a success. Also 100x should be in a certain period. 1 day or 1 hour 100x is not useful for anyone,,, right?

How did you interpretate this data?

Interesting data. Do you have the data what will be the results if you blindly invest an equal amount in every coin and wait 6 or 12 months? I bet it will be positive with 13,1% coins on profit and max 56x.

Most coins die anyway. Some fail because of poor management, others are scams and so on.

Nice stat read for a bit, I am not even really interested in these 100x debates but it would be interesting to look at the ones that actually came through and see what exactly made the coin a success. Also 100x should be in a certain period. 1 day or 1 hour 100x is not useful for anyone,,, right?

More likely it should be adoption in the technology behind the coin but most of them that pump are just from FOMO, just my two cents. 100x is achievable in a day, 2017 is a crazy year for alts and I guess it's just too useful for those whales who drives the pump and also drives the dump and sold at top.

Well, that thread was all just full of season traders and it's all an speculation it's not really good anyone will jump right onto the coin/token without even doing an actual research or consult a financial advisor.
