Hello friends.

I'm having trouble with an Asrock H110 Pro BTC + motherboard

The rig configuration is as follows:
- Asrock H110 Pro BTC + board
- 5 AMD RX 470 cards
- 750W 80Gold Power Supply + 1000W 80 Gold Power Supply
- Dualcore G4400 3.30 GHz
- 4GB of ram ddr4

I am connecting 5 RX 470 4GB cards, the first 2 are connected to a 750W GOLD EVGA power supply which also powers the motherboard. The problem happens when I connect the other 3 video cards, which are connected to another EVGA 1000W GOLD power supply, the motherboard seems to go into a kind of brick when I connect only 1 video card of those that are connected to the EVGA 1000W power supply to the motherboard, since the fan cooler of the Intel processor turns on, but the first 2 cards do not turn on their lights, and the structure does not give video ... it should be noted that the 3 video cards connected to the 1000W power supply turns on their fan coolers to the maximum when I connect this power supply to the power outlet .... then I proceed to turn off everything, disconnect the third video card from the motherboard, and proceed to turn the structure back on with only the 750W power supply and turns on normally with the 2 cards connected to the 750W power supply.

The 1000W GOLD power supply I have it with a bridge from pin 4 to 5 with a copper wire so that when it is connected to the power outlet it turns on automatically.

I setup all video cards ports in GEN1 and the Above 4g decoding is enabled.

I have virtual memory configured in custom size:
Initial size (MB): 32000
Maximum size (MB): 70000

I don't know what the problem is, but it certainly seems to me to be a power problem, but I have no idea how to fix it...

Can anyone please help me to solve this issue?

Get the Y cable the plugs between the primary psu and mobo.  The third leg of the Y goes to psu #2 and turns them on together.

Couple of things:

Gpus should be on risers.

Riser and gpu should be powered by the same PSU...do not mix riser power from psu1 and power card with psu2.  Thats a nono.
Mobo and all its connections (24pin / cpu power plug and molex 4 pins should all be off psu1.

To test if it works you can do without the Y cable.  But you have to run both PSU on at the same time.

Sounds like you didn’t connect both the 4 pin molex cables to the motherboard

Motherboard should throw an error if that's the case at boot up screen.

Mine didn't just didn't boot, till I realised I hadn't connected the 2 molex and sata power connectors.

For years the way I have used extra PSUs is the modify them to turn on through the power switch on the back. Mind you, this will damage and ruin their resale value.

just always remember to turn on all extra power supplies first then the system through the power switch. when powering off always turn extra power supplies off first and motherboard PSU last.

done it for years. doing it currently with three rigs one all p102-100s.

I prefer the cable because it doesnt require any mods and doesnt leave any exposed pins to short against stuff.  But all do the same...


Why is the answer almost always Amazon / Alibaba.....  Smiley
