I don't know if someone really holds their BTC from that year because the vies in the market that year is not so pleasing to look at. Most of the holders are from the 2019 when the price was lost and after that, they continue to grow until today. Most likely the price will continue to rise until next year because most of the issue of bitcoin has been cleared already and right now, in my opinion, no issues can stop it to surge its price even more than $25,000.

Some of them are from 2017-2018 when the bitcoin price starts to rise. They attract to bitcoin and invest their money because in that year, many news telling people to invest in bitcoin before explodes. Besides that, the ICO and IEO were booming at that year, so that can attract more people to come and invest in crypto. Perhaps, some people still hold their bitcoin which they bought that year, and they already sold it this year. Yes, they are making a lot of money by selling their bitcoin now, but some people still hold their bitcoin because they want to make a bigger profit later.

It depends on how much they buy bitcoin in the past, some buy at 20,000$ in 2017, the extra 5000$ isn't worth the wait since four years now but all the same it's still better than not getting anything at all but I believe that altcoin can bring better ROI than btc hopefully soon

Bitcoin already reached $27k above and those who still holding until now has a great gains if they bought bitcoin when the price is only $3k. But I think only those investors who really trust in bitcoin and has a lot of capital hold it for a long term.

In many cases that we have been tested by our beliefs and trust in Bitcoin. For many ups and downs that we have faced in the past days, I'm also doubted if normal people can still be holding but probably they have been selling off their coins. Well, whales could make it, but if you are just casual investors because for me, I'll take every pump opportunity and sell my holdings.

Holding will it matters on the situation and not all holding will give us also the higher benefit than making a trade if there is a chance to make some profit. That why we have this Buy at Low, Sell at High, and we have that cycle.

Short term hold is also good, especially if the price can jump to the high price, so we can sell it to profit and buy back when the price is down. I am sure that when the price is jump high, the price will go down and back to the last current price because the market will be like that. i see that your more interested on the outcome of the price than securing profits . you a rare kind of breed huh . if the price go for more , your going to be a happy camper but if not , its no problem with you  .
