It is not about being new, it is not about making sure you invest into good one, it is about not being alone in doing something. I personally do not have that feeling, but I have met a lot of people who only invest into things that public wants to invest into, I know when a huge community keeps hyping up a coin that usually means the price will go up, but that doesn't always happen.

Nano for example was hyped as the best coin ever for a very long time with zero transaction fee and instant (literally under 1 second) transaction speed, and there were 10k+ people talking about it on reddit in a month. What happened? It went down anyway and became very low amount. So at the end of the day we are talking about something risky, even with a huge community it doesn't mean a coin will go up, but some people would rather lose with everyone rather than win all by themselves.

This is one of the dump questions on this forum, I have said most of them do not need the best Altcoins what they want is for you to tell them the next Altcoins that would pump and make them rich.

As if it is possible to tell such ? are you joking ? becoming rich needs effort and skills or "Tons of Luck" to pick the Pump and dump coin that will be played by the whales.

If you want to make money in this space just research all these low cap projects and find good ones you think you do well in future, you will be fine, instead buying others people's bag

There's nothing wrong in asking for the best altcoins to invest maybe they want to hear others suggestions or opinions because they have money and they want it to invest and its up to them on which altcoin they will select. But im sure if they ask this question here, some expected answers like shilling or hyping only because they are also holders  of the coin or token they suggest.

You do not have to do random searches, if you want to invest into a coin, searching it should not take longer than 1 week, that means you could research more than 50 coins per year, and since you can't make a profit in a week (well you can, but do not expect it since it is not common) and get out, that means between fist week to last week you will find few coins that you want to invest, more than few really. That means just take a look at the top coins on coinmarketcap and if you like 5 coins from the 52 you check a year, that means you are already invested, after that you will be capable of checking another 50 next year and if you want to you could check all the new ones as well and that would mean about 40 old, 10 new and highly ranked ones as well.

Long story short in few years you will have more knowledge about all coins in top 100 and new ones than 99% of the crypto world, in just 2 years or so.

because the price of ethereum is too high that small traders cannot take as capitalized that is the main reason why people are looking for alternative coin to  but and at least keep holding.

aside of ethereum people are watching these altcoin as well for your information such SOL, ADA because they're making good performance this year. Indeed there's a lot of prediction about these coins so must check it if you want.. i suggest visit coinmarketcap if you want more information about the growth of both coin because they provide trading views and price action as well especially the data which is the most important things when it comes projects.

It's possible that they are looking for a new coin to invest in and are simply looking for guidance for these hidden gems, it's also possible that they are avoiding investing in shitcoins which we all know that we have plenty of these out there and without any research in such projects...any of us could be tempted to invest in them. I think almost everyone knows that but traders want Altcoins with higher price hike potential. you can see that the current Ethereum price movement follows the Bitcoin price and very rarely has a significant price increase, that's why many people ask for recommendations for other Altcoins besides Ethereum to take more profits with high price movements.

That is true, if we are looking at the ranking then it is obvious that ETH is the biggest one and it will always be like that and there is nothing you could be doing that can change that until ADA or something else changes and becomes the second one.

However if we are talking about the situation in the blockchains then I would say that SOL is better for right now, or maybe it is getting better eventually and that's the important part for me. Not what is second ranked based on the market cap ranking because that is already decided, if we are going to take a look at the future then we are going to have to force ourselves to realize what could be the greatest in the future. SOL has that future, ADA has that future, Matic has that future and so forth, basically there are 4-5 places that I believe that could take over but people are not just caring about it enough and only look at the ranking.

This is exactly why people are looking for new altcoins for investment. These are mostly new cryptocurrency users who are looking for a "second Bitcoin". They believe that when they invest in some new, prospective coin as early investors, in a few years they will become millionaires, just like those who invested in BTC 10 years ago.
