You mean that the forum should ban BM with a newbie rank or cooper member? I support if there will be a rule like this but unfortunately it will never happen and scammers will never stop until whenever. They will do everything they can to succeed in their task
It's not all of the BM that came from the newbies were scammers and this is the problem. newbie or junior members account were part of forum. You can do nothing about that.
You should not think what will not happen. Even if there were no newbies and the scammers will always exist.
people should DYOR before they wanna do anything with it.

The purpose of the forum is for people to communicate with each other and evaluate projects. It is also in the hands of forum users to prevent dishonest or fraudulent projects. They will exist as long as we continue promoting them to make money. We will serve this purpose through trial and a little luck to make money. Everyone is here to earn money, you are included. Therefore, we can prevent these scams by only examining the projects and making choices.
For sure, demand comes first before supply so if we want to get rid of this sort of supply there should be almost no demand, which is not the case for now.
Scam projects will occur as long as there are people who are willing to fall for their tricks.

Scamming never stop even in the centralized system where there is certain authority that used be reported to them. Did scammer stop? No, no one can stop someone to scam and that is one sad reality especially here in crypto space. The best to do is to keep aware of all scam activities and avoid to it as much as possible.

The scam will stop if crypto doesn't exist Cheesy There is no way to stop scammers but we can minimize the number of scammers who come every day
How to? that is, be in yourself by doing a project analysis and don't be lured into projects that promise something very big

that's not true even when crypto didn't exist and there will always be scammers. It looks strange if you never heard the scammers in another instrument like stock or something else. You will find a bunch of scammers too. The only due diligence is a way to protect people from scammers.
In another side when scammers wanna try to scam people and people know what they must do that.

Scams have been here before we came to this community and every year, they came with a new strategy. The only thing the community can do is to warn the other members about the managers of the campaign by red-tagging them but today it seems they find another way by spending little amount to fool their investors both time and money. They just need to create some accounts and pay some little fees to be able to create their fake project thread so that the other people think they are promoting a legit project. But if you have been here long enough and knows how those scammers trick the other people, you can also warn others by posting to those bounty threads to warn the others.

Scams will never seize to exists because crypto is like a neverland to scammers now, money is flowing in and out of crypto so it's certain that fake tokens, con artists, bad devs will be available too, it's left for investors like us to learn how to identify the real projects out of the pools of bad projects, it's never going to be easy but it's also not impossible

As cryptocurrency is all about being anonymous, the situation with scams is like "fighting fire with fire". There are two ways to stop scam - projects stop to appear on the forum or run promotional campaigns here. Plus all the devs and inventors stop doing anything. Just drop their work, skills, sit on the sofa and watch TV. Second option - users stop participating in bounties and investing in crypto. Both options are impossible to implement.

there may be no end, as long as they have the opportunity then they will. Maybe for them it is very easy to get money but they do not think about how much harm they get from the victim

We can conclude that crypto arouses the greatest ambitions, desires to change lives and improvements in your personal financial system. Therefore, we can expect the worst manifestations of these desires because the technology behind it's capable of transcending the current growth alternatives. Gradually look at the price of Bitcoin and altcoins.

And we will have an answer.

Note* I write about projects that can do something for society. Now whether this will happen depends not on me, but on the project team. I'm just a writer... DYOR

maybe they don't include it here, because there are some successful projects even without having an ann or other program in this forum, because they already have enough community according to them to market their project.
in short, the forum cannot be used as a reason for a project to be successful or not.

We all know that it was a very popular forum back in 2017-2018.

after that, every altcoin announcement and project was like a total scam, Every new member became a copper member for management of a project.
I mean why isn't there any rules for this?
Every day there is so many coins launched in the market but they didn't even know about this forum.
Take note that Bitcoin is decentralized. It has been made so we can transact freely without the help of Banks.
We are in a world where everybody can do anything they want and that includes scamming of investors.

Can we do anything about it?? No and there is nothing we can do about it. Different people are being scammed every day or every week all around the globe. What we can do is to learn, not be ignorant and not get attract too fast with the returns that they can give or their sweet words. I know that you are disappointed to see different projects that became a scam but just move on. At least you aren't scammed right??

Scam will not end. As long as there are ignorant and newbie investors around the world, scammers will do everything to scam them Smiley.

The scammer will not stop scamming you, no matter if the rules are very strict to control the scammers. They will figure out how to scam more people in the crypto world. There will be many new people join in the crypto world, and many of them lack information about how to make money from the crypto. That will be a nice target for the scammers to trick them. Even if there is a BM that controls the participants who join with the bounty, that will not stop the scammers to run away with the investor's money.

Introducing copper memberships was actually just the forum owners capitalizing on the forum traffic, especially from newbies who could not earn merit to rank up. While the cost wasn't really much, it may have given some dough to the forum. I was frankly surprised by this because one would hope that forum owners would be OGs with enough Bitcoin. That does not seem to be the case.

As far as scams are concerned, this forum is still the best place to get decent bitcoiners interested in your project, if you are a decent project. For scam projects, the whole crypto industry has become an easy spray and pray venture. You keep churning out scams and wsbsites snd TG groups and keep raking in the moolah. Unfortunately, there is nothing to stop you if you are good at it.

The assumption is that if you are spending some of your money to purchase a Copper Membership, then you will be careful with your posts. If a Copper Member indulges in a scam and a DT member flags him, then the effort and money spent on building that profile is lost. Now this doesn't work 100% of the time, but the truth is that Copper Membership did prevented a lot of scams.

It is more like Bitcoin price growth prevented a lot of scam. With the price of 129280sat, Copper Member now cost around 34-35 USD, which is kinda costly for those who seek for easy money. Those people spend less than 10$ for a domain registration, use templates for webpage and 10-20$ for a whitepaper rewrite (greedy one try to create whitepaper by themselves, but they are easily caught for plagiarism). Spending same budget on just a forum account is a lot for that kind of people. But those who can afford to spend that kind of money, Copper Membership wont help.

Do you want this scamming to stop ?

Then Stop promoting their Projects , You come here asking about this but you are wearing a Bounty Signature ?

Scamming will lessen and eventually Stop  If Bounty hunters stop helping them to promote their Scam projects .

even if you don't intend this to happen ,But you are part of their Scamming Success ,because without you promoting and advertising their project They will gain no popularity .

____________________

Imagine Since 2017 ,from the creation of that account you already a Bounty hunter Yet asking this here?

You should have learn from those years , and Make your way not to become a victim.

Are all bounties scam? If yes why are you wearing as.exchnage signature code? The advice you passed unto others is too harsh I believe, not all bounties are scam projects you could have just warn him or her (OP) to do research on projects before promoting them, not telling people to quit promoting projects

Scams in this crypto space has come a very long way and has lasted for a long time, even till now it is coming up in more advanced ways which ranges from airdrops to bounties and even most projects which were thought as good projects; so where can one actually start from. However, I think the best way to start from is doing our best to verify most projects before getting involved, even if it is airdrops, make sure the team are serious and so on. Also, the best way to reduce scams is when we stop running after hyped projects, taking the DeFi projects as a case study, it started on a good note but today, we have seen various levels of scams and many are still coming up today; so the best way still remains making your own research first and investing the funds you can afford to lose.
Lastly the same way some scam projects leveraged this forum to succeed is the same way some legit projects leveraged this forum to succeed as well, but however the most preferred way to run away from scams without taking chances is by going for top coins like Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Agreed. Those who used to scam using Copper Membership accounts earlier were mostly low-level scammers, who usually have a very small budget. You are right in stating that the membership has become more unaffordable to them. But it won't have any impact on the innovative scammers with larger budget. These people usually purchase Bitcointalk memberships (Sr.Member or higher), and use these accounts for their scams. Sometimes the DT members flag these accounts, if they notice that the account has suddenly become active after an extended period of dormancy. But most of the time, they go unnoticed.

it is difficult to make scammers stop in the crypto world, every year there will definitely be a scam project, and for me the most sinister history is about bitconnect scammers, Bitconnect was in the top altcoin coinmarketcap first, and after being labeled as a scammer, Bitconnect's price immediately fell sharply, And in 2021 the Ripple case reminds me again, because Xrp is down 100% since they were investigated by the SEC. really terrible

It is not necessary to advertise here, numerous projects out there without passing through this platform for advertisement. It all depends on the team and their marketing strategies.
