This forum is very important for any new startup projects, any project that failed to create a ANN page on this forum will lose investors interest, even satoshi the creator of Bitcoin used this forum, if newbies can spend time to do research they will end up landing on Bitcointalk, I'm so sure of that, another thing is newbies don't plan on learning, everyone always want to earn first

Twitter is not good for crypto newbies hence it has full of hypes from influencers and the biggest target will be new to crypto and for sure it will be a biggest mistake any newbie can possibly do.

Basically, some of the public data being shared on that platform can be misleading. It usually initiates FUD and FOMO to investors which influence their investment decisions. Some of them were forced to invest in a project that has an undefined use case, thinking it will result in a high-yield. Besides that, few of the accounts have a verified badge, but can be a complete scam which means any person and information could be unreliable.

Forum like this should be the root  of all knowledge and guidance to newbies in order to have a better crypto experiences and stay out from scams.

Personally, the forum is better than any platform to learn and understand cryptocurrency. As it consists of different details concerning cryptocurrency, like guidelines with investment and personal insights. It eases any biased opinion within a particular matter; therefore, you can conduct good research of the project you wanted to evaluate. Nevertheless, we can discuss the idea of the forum simply with people we usually interact with, like family and friends interested in cryptocurrency. You're absolutely right, newbies fall into the hands of wicked scammers because they don't have the proper knowledge about crypto, since they are not on this forum, they rarely have an idea about how to identify or differentiate between legit and scam projects, cause if they had an opportunity to be a member of this forum, they would have come across several threads on this forum talking about how to identify scam and legit projects,thereby it will be easy for them not fall for scam projects.

Bitcointalk is the biggest crypto forum on the internet even before I joined this platform I have been refer to this platform so many time. This is because google crawl so many keywords from this website and if you search for related words it will list this forum in search query. The reason why people get scam is because they are not aware that the project will end up being scammed or they did not do their research well. For instance a lot of scam project are detected and reported here on the forum but people still go ahead to invest in such project. Every newbie can also help in making this forum great by also not finding information about project here but also report any scam project to save others

I know about this forum because someone brought me here because if you tried to make a search on the internet, there are a lot of sites that will pop-up and most of them are misleading.

OP I recommend moving this to beginners section, I believe this is the best place for this topic, newbies are always going to that section to learn and ask questions about this forum, this will even help them more and give more courage too

there is something i noticed, some telegram users who follow some project don't have any clue about this forum and i keep wondering how they manage to join the project, maybe through the project twitter account, but anyone who is not part of this forum is missing out, here you will get the real honest review about projects from good forum members that can save you from falling into the wrong hands, people should visit here more.

My opinion is they already know this forum I have read many members here who started just reading this forum but not joining because some of them do not know how a forum works, they are more acquainted on social media like Facebook and Twitter, they are more comfortable on social media because of the wall feature where you own your wall and you can post anything, compare to a forum where spamming is not acceptable
Bitcointalk many topics will show up on Google search on every topic about Crypto you cannot separate everything Bitcoin to Bitcointalk.

Well, I actually feel the same not knowing bitcoin and bitcointalk earlier. But we're here now. It may took us some time to know about this but at least we're already a part of it. You know what they say, "Better late than never."

Anyway, this is the only forum I have with regards to bitcoin. But I must say that any information you need on things crypto-related, you can find answers here. I also have Telegram and Twitter but a detailed explanation and discussion between members is better here. Just my opinion though.

This forum is definitely the right place to be in terms of acquisition of better understanding about bitcoin and the numerous benefits surrounding it.    It is one thing to be at the right place for the purpose of getting the best learning out of so many knowledgeable discussions, it is another thing to put it into practices.  In the sense that, whatever ideas we learn here should be put unto practices, such as identifying fake bitcoin wallets, sites, investment, trading and so on..

Bitcointalk.org is the world cryptocurrency library where individuals share they experience and ideas to help the forum and the entire cryptocurrency space as a whole, but the fact still remains that newbies need a more holistic knowledge about cryptocurrency and how it works before getting random ideas and informations from individuals.

I agree if you say "Bitcointalk Forum is the perfect school for everything crypto", but to be less fooled, I think there will still be a lot because we can also see in the last two years that there are so many unclear projects on this forum. and those who are newbies will find it a little difficult to distinguish the original project from the fake project, although over time they will also find out.

I remember I spent hours and hours in the past reading here and there in the forum, so I agree I was saved a couple of times avoiding some lets say traps.
However being only a reader I feel like I am only taking from here so I must start sharing.
Now that I wanted to do it I noticed I have only 1 post. Shame on me, still a newbie.
