Why am I posting it here? It's because for sure scammers are going to create lot of fake sites again to take advantage of this news and to trap newbies or crypto enthusiast.

So in the official giveaway, there are no deposits whatsoever, so if you by chance encounter and see a Binance giveaway but asking for deposit, then for sure its fake.

Binance giveway rarely asking for deposits or any form of asking money. They usually post many kind of giveaway on their twitter and this is one of the biggest reward. Already joined it and CZ will probably looking to top most crypto goals.

But thanks for the post and reminding people here. If there are fakes one that will post and gonna show an address for receiving. Put it on scam thread accusation for exposure of those scammer's exploit.

While to know if giveaway is true or not, we should not only believe in emails, or making sure the email is from the legit site, this should be assured by making sure the email that sent such giveaway is not looking similar but exactly the same with original from binance but this can be tricky and we need to be very careful. About binance, this can be good for binance users to check the notification on their trading platform on their account, binance would have notified them from both the email and the notification message, the notification message on binance is authentic and not tricky like email which can be fake but just similar to binance emaL. People need to be careful, binance do give giveaway that require little tasks, but scammers like to take advantage of that too but creating a fake giveaway that can be used to scam people.

Binance takes a lot of give away today and for sure there are a lot of scammers and phishing links/ website will show immediately because they know that there is a lot of trading will make try to join on this kind of event. Good initiative to you OP to spread awareness. Still its better if we just visit the Binance original website or use their original application to prevent getting issues.

Funny enough, a fake already exists and you can observe it for differences i the tweet found on this thread: Fake Twitter watch out . So fast you think! That's how scammers keep a weary eyes on news as they occur looking for the perfect opportunity to strike ignorant or unaware crypto enthusiast and forum users are doing a good job in catching up with these scam schemes. That's how unique and personal users of the forum takes the cryptosphere. So, it pays to be up to date on breakings and to be active on this forum.

We should be mindful of our activities in festive and money redistribution seasons such as this because, we aren't the only one's trying to utilize the opportunity it offers.
I'm not a big fan of giveaways and easy money but then, should it be that, you aren't sure of any investment or equipped with the know how on decrypting fake or cloned platforms and messages from the original, its always best you take things slowly.

A legit project never ask you anything if they are held a giveaway, airdrop and etc. A few days ago binance exchange has given an airdrop for those user who trade at the specified time period and they give the reward right away without notifying every qualified user.

As for this giveaway, I guess if you are lucky they will only ask you the wallet to send the reward no more than that. So the point is simple, if there is a project which held an airdrop and ask you to send money and etc then you are obliged not to believe it.

Thanks for the heads up here Mate though i already Joined this one yesterday ,But your correct this is at least raising awareness because  of binance popularity scammers always looking for a chance to Enter and take the advantage specially events like this that surely attract Binance users .

actually there is one i saw in FaceBook about something Binance event but edited and there is a official Wallet address for at least donation or small funds allocation .

But good that all of the replies are Exposing the scam attempt .

They'll create profile with the profile picture of Binance.

Someone who don't check profiles will believe on it and will think that it's a real giveaway although the one posted it is an impostor. This is also in twitter.

I also saw a profile that's named after the Binance owner, CZ.

I looked at the number of retweets and comments and the desire to participate immediately disappeared, the chance of winning is very small, but thanks for sharing.

Still got surprised of these kind of giveaways or promotions? $5000 over all prize isnt an amount for you to ignore and each of winner could potentially get $1,000 with just retweeting.

Currently it does have 28.4k comments and 34.4k Retweets which means odds of being chosen is too slim but to consider on the effort that you had done then
better cross your fingers for you to be chosen.

It all matters with luck in most of the time but participating doesnt really take an arm and leg.So who knows?
