You are not a merit source, you are just still having only 3 smerits. Instead of making a topic about merit giveaway, why don't you just look for quality post and merit the post. The two people that are good enough to post merit giveaway topics are people that have high amount of smerits, while the second are merit sources.

Getting merit is not hard, but can be hard for newbies. If newbies are serious, they will read more about bitcoin and other related boards, the more they read about these the more they know and the more they will post quality posts related to bitcoin and other boards.

Creating a merit give away thread isn't the only or the best way to give out merits and 3 merits is way too low to start a merit thread besides, your acquired merit are all gotten from OgNasty via a merit give away thread. For all we know, non of your posts have yet been merited except the tasking one and based on accomplishment. So, if your yet to receive a merit for quality posts, how then are you so sure to be a judge on quality posts! No doubt, you might have some criteria but i still feel its way too early for you to start a merit give away thread on your part as you've been involved and contributed very little.

i really wish for you not to get discouraged based on the replies your getting, its just the hard truth, this isn't you being attacked or picked on, it's just a word of advice from another concerned user and it would do you a thing of good to adhere to them. No need to reply to every one of our replies as it could result in spamming, you broke no rule but then, you've got to be cautious and thread carefully. Instead of apologizing all the way through, act the part to show how the replies you get and the contents you've gone through impacted on you. Continue to be a good forum user and you'll see yourself breaking your own current highs as bitcoin just did.

Yes, I admit that you are very happy about the 6 Merits you get at this time, however, the merits you get are not the results of the ideas you have, it's a donation from @OgNasty, he is indeed generous towards Newbie's.

You just need to save your sMerit and donate it to your local, there are lots of quality topics in your local area, just give it up there.
I think there are still many Newbie's, who create topics in your local area that need it.

These is hard time, which on the means of people, we have a good people that is willing to help each other to grow. Everything is a process and i am very grateful to be a part of these great platform. Merit has been a greatest challenge to move another level of ranking base on the quality content created, and i really need help of merit to rank up from my current stage.

Actually, you did not make any mistake if you understand how merit system works and how to use your sendable merit in a good way.

I'm hoping that this system will increase post quality by:
 - Forcing people to post high-quality stuff in order to rank up. If you just post garbage, you will never get even 1 merit point, and you will therefore never be able to put links in your signature, etc.
 - Highlighting good posts with the "Merited by" line.

To know how to merit other users in a good way, you need to understand how difficult you have to fight for your earned merits. When you understand it, you will know which posts are good in quality to send your sendable merit to.

I gave you +1 merit because you are humble and keen to taking corrections, I have seen several newbies that bothered not to take corrections at all but you are different.
However, earning merit(s) from giveaways isn't a bad thing, you have all right to gift out your merit(s) as you want but to good posts not users.
