Hi

I'm debating between these 2.  Minergate seems like a scam sort of so I'm just looking at these 2.  For a novice miner with a good GPU.  WHen I use calculator it looks like Betterhash would be better especially because that lets me also mine with the i3-10100 while I don't think Nicehash does.  It's only an extra $5/month but just trying to get best choice.  Thanks

Minergate isn't a scam, in the past they have issue with Hashrates and probably miner softwares but things are different now, I'm able to withdraw all different coins in mined on the platform in 2017 to 2018, from Doge coin to BCH and others, it's not a scam

Yup, Minergate isn't a scam but their payout rates are kinda low.

However both Nicehash and Betterhash are good in their own ways since each one has its own advantage; Betterhash allows withdrawals of mined coins, while Nicehash only offers BTC.

I'd suggest you read this comparison article before you start.

Thanks UserU for responding to me.  The other post wasn't really a response.  If the payouts are lower, OK, it's not a scam, but my hash rates are being "taken" by minergate then.

On a related topics guys, I installed Betterhash last night and ran it overnight.  I had removed it from my start menu and "recently installed" list.  Somehow in the middle of the night it seems it was updated or re-installed, or something, because this morning they were back in the start menu as if it re-installed on it's own in middle of night.

Does anyone have any idea what happened?  Thanks

Yup, it's more for beginners that are new to mining (and are not aware of the higher fee or they don't care much).

About your last post, I haven't installed BH so I can't relate but apparently from what I read, BH auto-updates so that could be the cause.

Thanks.  I couldn't see a place to turn this off.  Anyone know if Nicehash does automatic update or if you can turn that off?

Minergate....HAHAHAHAHA......go look at their pools.... they are horrible.  They have a slick interface for mining but the actual pool stats....ARE HORRIBLE....

XMR pool finds a few blocks a day
GRIN pool has never found a block
BTC pool Closed
ETH pool last found a block a year ago
LTC pool last found a block 2 years ago
ETC pool last found a block 7 months ago
BTG pool last found a block 2 years ago
ZEC pool last found a block 2 years ago

The newest mining pools are :

EOS
TRON
ICON

Not even coins you can mine...

Minergate, better hash, nicehash are all newbies mining platforms, these miners get things done for those who can't configure pools and miners themselves, fee is where the big difference lies, if you are good with claymore for example or phoenix miner you won't want to use Nicehash and betterhash

Guys when I look at my calculator on Betterhash it looks like I should be getting a lot more profit from ETH or MTP, but when I run the benchmark it seems like I can't get those miners to run, so it does Kawpow/Ravencoin which is costing me a lot.  Is there anything I can do to get those other miners to work, and/or would I make more by mining ETH or MTP without Betterhash?  Here's what the calculation says on their website:

Algorithm   Hashrate   Monthly Income   Monthly BTC Income   Monthly USD Income
XZC - MTP (CCMiner)   1.87 MH/s   10.15748291 XZC   0.00101981 BTC   40.41 USD
ETH - Ethash (Phoenix)   11.11 MH/s   0.02582434 ETH   0.00078723 BTC   31.20 USD
RVN - KawPow (NBMiner)   5.95 MH/s   833.95382957 RVN   0.00034192 BTC   13.55 USD

Thanks

You can mine with CPU on nicehash as well, I can still mine with a third gen core i5 3.2ghz in my desktop which is very much old right now, nicehash have no problem with CPU mining, it seems betterhash is different? Ive never used but judging from it's calculator

I dont think its fair to lump NH and BH in with the terrible likes of minergate.

NH/BH both are much better than a minergate which is just bad no matter how you look at it.

And the minergate pools are absolute TRASH pools.

I've been using Betterhash and no issues so far.  I understand how Nicehash makes money but I don't get how Betterhash makes money - anyone know?  Reason I ask is because they act like no fees, etc. but that doesn't make sense.  They must make money somehow.
