Hey Everyone,

I am just getting started mining and looking hard at what I can do make  my mining as efficient / profitable.  As I pondered this I look out the window at 2.4kw of solar on the roof that is not currently being used.

Through the Winter I am  going to "replace" my electric furnace with mining gear.  Come Summer I will lose that leverage.

I can add a grid tie inverter ($700) and offset the grid usage with the  solar as it is available. Or,  I can try setting up to only mine when the solar is adequate to support the miners.  I would need some manner of controlling the load (miners)  to shut them down at night.  Is there any scheduling capability in the common mining platforms?  I am looking towards a mix of ASIC and GPU miners.

Any thoughts on what would work best IRL?

Thanks

S.
