There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

I think it's just either..

1. They find your information quite suspicious

2. It's the holidays, and that Bitcoin interest from the masses have been slowly rising since the recent price rises hence there might be a huge backlog of user registrations that they need to go through.

I'm betting on the 2nd. You can feel free to use other platforms though, I'm personally for peer-to-peer no-KYC platforms like HodlHodl[1] and Bisq[2]. Just make sure to transact with people with good reputation.  Smiley

I'm leaning towards the second one. I'm fully transparent with the information I gave.
Thanks for the reply, makes me feel a bit better

Better consider the alternatives given above, because I have been waiting for more than a year to get my verification done and access the funds left in my vault. Roll Eyes

Sign into Coinbase click on your name (top right corner) then click settings. Under your profile begin overriding your home address in the "street address" field and you will begin seeing addresses appearing as you are typing (directly underneath). When you see your physical address navigate to it...press tab and all of the other fields will automatically populate. This has to be something new on the Coinbase platform. I personally did not notice anything different BUT something must be different.

Sign out then back in Coinbase and override the URL to coinbase.com/verify-identity and answer the questions on the RIGHT. Do not override anything on the left as this information has already updated from the previous actions you took. Then change the URL to coinbase.com/verify-document and complete verification again. I did this from my laptop with my drivers license for the upteenth time....and it finally worked!!! I received an email almost immediately and could not believe my account was magically not “under review” and the platform was completely back to normal...buy, sell, trade....etc!!!!

That's what I don't like in Coinbase,  for them they will allow you to deposit any amount to their platform.
Then, all of a sudden they freeze your account anytime they want it to be. They will hold the money that is not belong to them
where it will take a couple of days, weeks, or months until you will realize you've been scam by this one.
But this is just my opinion and thoughts about them.

A day has passed, are they still reviewing it? They haven't given a timeframe for how long the review shall take. Just like your suspicion, they could probably be preparing for the holiday and there's only a few staff that are on duty.

more of a year? that's real patience.

I think it is related to verify your bank account with many take 3-5 days and Coinbase support need to contact them with will be a week or more on normal days. some take about two weeks but you need to contact them again.
If you have all the KYC docs, don't be afraid that it is a matter of time.
Their support is notoriously slow, so it is best to use decentralized platforms after you search carefully.

Just be patient. I had also to wait for some days to been reviewed.  Like other mentioned with days like this it could take up some longer. If there were problems, they would contacted you already.

BIG WINNER!

One of my known people faced the same issue, it's almost more than 15 days since he informed me that her account under review. She had submitted everything asked by coinbase. She is unable to withdraw funds. So, I think 2 days ago she called me and I suggest closing the account, so coinbase will give you the option to withdraw funds and close the account. But unfortunately, coinbase do not allow even close account and withdraw funds. So most probably you have to wait for their review. Any action before their final review would be granted.

By the way, are you wondering to use coinbase as a bitcoin wallet? Just to notify you, it's a custodial web wallet service or exchange. You would face always such an issue. So, better to use noncustodial open-source wallet software or hardware wallets. If you aren't controlling private keys means you aren't the controller of the fund.
