Do you have a paper/digital backup from where you can restore? A paper backup is one that you print, and a Digital is a PDF file that contains your root key. After you sync the WHOLE blockchain to your computer, and yes, it requires the whole blockchain, you cant prune and keep that ~2-6GB and expect it to work, you need to have around ~350 GB worth of blockchain on your computer synced to current date. If this part is incorrectly done, you can get the "failed to spawn the DB error".
Now, making sure your armory is connected to the blockchain, and also check and see from Bitcoin Core if you have downloaded the blockchain fully.
Then, you use Armory by opening it, selecting the import option, and choose your wallet type that you want to import, like Digital, Digital Secureprint, Paper etc. Then import your two line rootkey, and you should be set to go, and remember to keep the blockchain synced always to current date. Have you done this and still get problems? If yes, then if you remember the addresses in which you have the BTC (it is a long string of letters and numbers), you can check it on sites that allow you to view balances, like
blockchain.com,
blockchair.com or
btc.com to search that address and check your balance.
