Is Uphold a good app to store XRP? I am from the US.

Is Uphold a good app to store XRP?  I am in the US.  Coinbase will not trade XRP on 01/19/2021.  Does Uphold has the website allow to hold and trade XRP in its website?  I don't feel comfortable to download the app in my phone and carry around.  I am afraid that I lost my phone or some one steals my phone.  I feel more comfortable to trade XRP in the desktop computer at my home.  Thanks.

If you don't feel at ease of your comfort to store funds on this kind of trading app, don't do it because from the start that's too risky. I would rather recommend you of using trusted trading app like binance or trust wallet. You can set a google authentication app linked on your wallet so you'll able to have a secondary security aside from email code sent prior log in.
Meanwhile, once uphold will gain it's reputation and trust from several users maybe we've become confident towards using their app.

Binance US will delist XRP on 01/13/2021.
Trust wallet only have 3 DEXs inside (Binance DEX, Uniswap atau Pancakeswap) make sure XRP has listed on these DEXs.


I don't know Uphold personally, it's the first time I hear that exchanges... But they still list XRP so you can trade there. I didn't find any ANN regarding Uphold delisted XRP, but they may do same as other exchanges too since they can do whatever they want. IMO better to sell your XRP quickly before it will get delisted on all exchanges.

I have been using uphold to get BAT payment from Brave. I use both their web wallet and their app. I generally get them in the wallet keep them for a month or so and then transfer them to a local exchange. I have not faced any major issue untill now. I had a small issue of not being able to transfer BAT few months back and it was solved promptly with the help of Uphold support.

I still would not recommend you to hold your XRP for a long duration on a web wallet or a mobile wallet. If you want to hold them for just a month or so then Uphold is good.

If he has it already, it's fine if he would like to keep it and hold it. But for you op, uphold is just another cryptocurrency, and if you want to store it. Use wallets that are good for storing like hardware wallets that support XRP.

I am familiar with this exchange when I use brave browser. I have no problem with this exchange and seem legit to use. As for XRP, this coin is really good indeed, they corporation with bank has given a proof that centralized coin can stand for a long time to occupy the third position in the crypto market. But by this situation I think they can surpive especially many exchange decided to delist this coin. Just be careful to hold this coin, if you just buy this coin because you think now its price is low you can set the stop lose to avoid your money will burn. But, if you already hold this coin for long time ago, I suggest to sell the coin and find another altcoin.

Use atomic desktop wallet which is best compared to other wallets available in the market for storing XRP but as US citizen you can't legally trade XRP anymore so no websites will allow you to do so, and I won't recommend holding XRP as well anymore.

Why not try to use multi crypto currency wallet instead of exchange ? Uphold is also an exchange the same with other that already delist XRP. So what if they also have plan to delist it later once the issue never solve by XRP team ?

That exchange is OK to use since I've been using that exchange for widrawing my balance earn from brave but I cannot fully any exchange to stored Any of my crypto for long term. So I suggest to use multi crypto currency wallet and stored your XRP there this is much secured compare to holding it in exchange.

Storing coins have nothing to do with location, it only matters if you are trying to use exchange instead but in this case all available wallets works in every part of the world and wallets don't work with locations, you said you are in US, you can just download Trust wallet to store your XRP, make sure you write the Mnemonic seed somewhere very safe
