Alt Season still possible?

It's pretty sad to hear bad news from XRP, but I don't think it will affect the prices of other altcoins. however, it is different if ETH is in the XRP position.
other than that, I'm still pretty sure that altcoin season will really arrive. Currently, bitcoin price is still rising and altcoin price can't keep up with that. however, if the price of bitcoin has stabilized, I think that one by one the altcoins will go up a lot.

Is #AltSzn still possible?
As what happened on some major huge marketcap altcoins are being hammered these past few days, just like what happened on Ripple about SEC issue and som privacy coins being delisted on some exchanges.
I am worried about what some people are waiting for a long time, the alt season, where we can see a huge price action or pump for some altcoins, huge marketcap or small.
What's your thoughts on alt season? Do history repeat itself?

i still believe if altseason will come in this year my friend,,
but, maybe we need more patience, because the rally on bitcoin will make a lot of people move their money from altcoins to bitcoin buddy

I still believe Altsesaon can repeat itself in 2021 but it may be different and not like the history that happened in 2018. But the beginning of the year has just started and we all wish the best especially for top coin holders who are looking forward to the Altcoin Market coming as soon as possible.

The altcoins are still here and fighting to stay relevant. Litecoin and Ethereum is still being invested and traded upon so I do not see why it is not possible for some Alts - not all ok - would be influenced and be able to increase their value. As long as there's people who continue to invest and trade in the alts then there is nothing to worry about these coins not going to the top. A little patience and we will get there.

It is obvious that we sort of had the "alt season" and it is sad that people don't see it, that is the problem. rahmathidayat93 may not consider the thing we had in 2020 as an "alt season" but you are right, if we hold the right coins we always make a decent return. Ethereum started the year at 130 dollars or so, ended with 700+ dollars, got nearly a 6x return, how is that not really an alt season for anyone?

If you get 6x return on something in just one year, you have to consider that a bullish run. That happened to many other coins as well, maybe not to XRP or few others but it just means they were the bad ones, so it means if you owned the good ones, you would definitely make a profit. I don't get what people are expecting, you want to get alts 100x? Because that would rarely happen, getting anything over 5x is a huge bull run that is rare and awesome to me.

I think that the alt season is somehow started to mostly several altcoins in the market but not for xrp because it has a lawsuit that it is fighting right now but I believe that it will also have its bullish run this year once that the case against SEC is clear.

It is certainly still possible, once Bitcoin price reached the end of the current pump and starts to correct downwards longterm.

[/quote] History might repeat itself. But this time it will be uncertain as to when alts season will start, either at the beginning of the year or at year end. One thing i'm sure is that definitely, the topmost altcoins will only be pumping and the rest of the altcoins will remain undervalued until they end up as dead coins. So be careful as to what altcoins would you prefer to buy and hold.

I think alts keep getting hammered by bad news. Ripple had the SEC, Privacy coins have exchange delistings etc. For now I don't think alts will gain on BTC.

It just a couple of coins though, we still have a bunch of altcoin in the top 10 can can really move in this bull, at least touching their old all time high will be good enough for me.

Bitcoin is still dominating at this point, so the bull run for altcoins might not happen similar to 2017. But in any case it will still be a good year for altcoin, I'm pretty sure everyone is well aware of what altcoins in the top are really good for investing this year.

Bitcoin is still dominating ?? It will always dominate other coins no matter what! It's clear case of high priced market cap of bitcoin that's keeping it ahead of all. This is not going to change ever because bitcoin has already gained that much of the popularity and user base. Moreover, there are big institutional investors who are now backbone of the bitcoin itself.

Have you ever heard that there are institutional investors who are backing any altcoin? Mostly NO, and thats why they are risks and could get delisted anytime.

Some of the bad news that has hit Ripple, has had an indirect impact on all the other altcoins.  There are so many altcoins on the market but investors are starting to have doubts over them because of the bad news for Ripple.  Investors will be very careful choosing altcoins so as not to experience a similar case in Ripple, currently the decline in some altcoins has a reason, but when BTC is at its maximum.  There is still a chance that the altcoin season will come because it is an alternative for investors in cryptocurrency.

Bitcoin one more reach again above $33k and how long bitcoin reach above $40k? absolutely good news when bitcoin have raise to higher price and make popularity of cryptocurrency but if bitcoin more dominance we loss chance to see altcoin back to higher price. Most of alts are all green right now and up out 10% above, it's right to say that this day is the altcoin season I mean just last year ETH was valued at $350 and now it's whooping $800. This time around is quite good actually, usually when BTC rise this much the alts gets crushed but as you see the alts instead making their own momentum. Its just people don't see it because the price rising is steady not as fancy as it was in 2017

The altcoins are still facing sluggishness due to the investor's awareness of the cryptocurrency after the super bull year of 2017. In 2017 the coins which are even no supportive or actual project behind the particular coin had seen growth because of heavy speculation in the market. Later, while these coins are down drastically and even become useless and also kicked out of the various markets then the investors are now investing cautiously. So, they are trading and investing only some of the selective coin thus it is not sure about the altcoins that will go up drastically and all depend on their actual project growth ness.

As long as the bullish rise in the price of Bitcoin continues, its dominance will grow. However, this process is cyclical. The time will come when the rise in the price of bitcoin stops and then the capital will flow from bitcoins to altcoins. We just need to wait for this period. Altcoin season is sure to come.

yes I think Altcoins Seasons is still possible, even many people have predicted it will happen in early 2021, maybe the scenario is different from the previous altcoin season (2017).
I think there will soon be a huge increase in the popularity of altcoins. Many people are now afraid to get in or have even declared altcoins dead.
