Exactly. EOS has practically stalled with no indications of going up in the near future. People are mostly focused on Ethereum with the new and "shiny" "De-Fi" platforms popping up every day. UniSwap, Aave, and Compound.Finance are extremely popular on the Ethereum blockchain, resulting in higher prices for ETH on the market. EOS, on the other hand, is less attractive to everyday people because the number of dApps available on the blockchain are limited. Developers don't seem to be much interested in developing dApps for the EOS platform than Ethereum itself. As long as this is the case, EOS won't be able to experience higher prices in the future. It's all a matter of providing real use cases for the world in order to succeed in the long run.

Nonetheless, it seems to me than EOS will be left behind as new players gain traction on the market. Right now, DOT and TRON have fared even better than EOS with ever-increasing demand from people in the mainstream world. The team is going to have to ramp up marketing/promotion efforts in order to attract developers into the EOS project. Otherwise, it won't last for long. Based on what I've seen, every project created by Daniel Larimer, turns out fade into oblivion within the long term. Consider how BitShares, and STEEM have been doing ever since Daniel Larimer departed from them. They've been practically abandoned with the community unable to get them off the ground. The same thing could happen with EOS in the future, as its competitors take the world by storm. At least, the code is open for anyone to improve the existing project or build another one from scratch. Remember, anyone can make a cryptocurrency. But if it lacks usability, it'll eventually fade into oblivion. Just my opinion

It's sad to say but EOS without Dan just like a zombie project. Dan larimer retired from blockone and he was focusing to develop soemthing useful for the community.
Blockone could do whatever their want for EOS.
It says that so many dan followers were also leaving EOS. A dump after dan was writing a message to the EOS supporters about his retirement

does not guarantee that someone who has long been or whatever he is as the holder of capital and others, will guarantee that the project that will be abandoned will be dying and destroyed. it is possible that his successor and continue are more able to control the situation and can guarantee that the project continues to run well despite his resignation. because investors need high trust, if their successor can do and bring goodness into reality, obviously no one will run away and will continue to support it.

don't worry about EOS, even though the price is cheap now but EOS is one of the competitors of Ethereum, make no mistake, EOS is not a bad project, from the price performance it doesn't look bad either, it's just that EOS still needs whales to be able to pump like Ethereum and Goodnews of course, hold EOS i think it will be Huge in 2021-2022 because DEX will be hype.

I was one of those who bought EOS in 2019 when the price of EOS was at $ 7. So until now I haven't been able to get any profit from EOS. Because
the price is still at $ 2.7. Which is still a long way off to get the $ 7 price back. But even so I still believe in the future of EOS. So I'll be patient waiting
for the EOS price to return to its $ 7 price tag.

Hopefully a few months from now EOS can show a significant increase in price, if it turns out that EOS manages to hit the price of $ 7 by the middle of

It just need some push. There are already tons of dapps using EOS most of them are tokens for dividends and the one thing that I like EOS is that with the EOS you have staked, you generate income while also not paying for the transactions fees done. 

Dan leaving the project I think is just as good as how he did it with steemit. It's making the project more decentralized.

That is basically what happens when you do not attract any new projects and make some changes. EOS is good and all but ETH is the second ranked currency which means people will pick that over others, even with 20-30 dollar network fee's for swaps and around 6-7 dollars just to send your tokens to somewhere, for some reason people prefer eth.

In order for EOS to gain all the things you say they have to improve eos to something brand new, they need to make better technological advances and become 10x better than ethereum.

Look at binance smart chain for example, it is cheaper and it offers more things and it even gave so much funds to attract projects and it is still not even half of what ethereum is right now. That is why it is not easy to make a project up right now, specially not something as old as EOS, all those new ones got attention because they were new, eos is neither new nor very high like eth.

Yes agree, i buy the token more at 3.4 usd to support the price, but many people to afraid to do it then dump the price back.

Worth in the future or can it survive for long? For quite some time now that coin has been stagnant, I have never considered investing in it because I don't understand the project in general,  and to top it all, it is slower than a tortoise (price wise) 
I don't know why anyone would still have interest in this project when we have such incredible projects like link, dot  avax, sol etc, project worthy of your money.

With respective to what op been said at the topic thread, EOS is a respective cheap and fast transaction coin more than ethereum but unfortunately, EOS blockchain has some flaws that drew investors as well as patronisers away. Firstly, is unfree wallet setup and complications of blockchain.

EOS well know requires fee before setting up her wallet which in turns chases investors away, imo, EOS are for the whales who has large amount of money to be spent although the set-up fee is extremely small but it has some significant flaws in EOS blockchain to be used by people. For instance, some airdrop and bounty hunters/participants fails to perform some projects that's is built on EOS because of the fee require, it's something for EOS team to look into.

Secondly, complicated blockchain, EOS to me had been the hardest blockchain in the crypto space, the purchase of RAM, and other data for easy transfer of EOS based tokens is another complicated step, simply buying EOS hasn't guarantee you of eligibility to transfer out your token, it still requires you to buy more RAM, and other things that follows.,
This causes EOS market to remain stagnant and no significant growth in the price because there's no much demand as it is in the ethereum and Binance smart chain.

All EOS needs to do is stay relevant, it needs to be one of the top coins, and if it can stay in the top 20 like right now, that means it will always be a coin that people use and like. However if everything else goes up while EOS fails to catch up, that would be the only problem.

I guess as long as market keeps going up, we are going to eventually see EOS rank higher and the price will be higher as well, it will definitely help people out. First of all, the cryptocurrency market positive in trend doesn't mean every coin we have in the market should be speculate for a surge in price. The last time I checked institution and whales are the fundamental investors and they are mostly after Bitcoin.
Second, EOS is a high manipulated coin, which was backed by the Asian investors company (if you check it major investors during initial offering) that's the reason it was able to raised $4B during initial offering.
@MCobian, you should have check the major investors of the coin during offering before you accumulated it cause coins which primary investors are private companies are easily manipulated that's why some people consider EOS to be centralized coin.

Seems that one by one Alts are pumping ETH, DOGE and XRP are moving and if the team behind this coin also wanted to attract investors, it's a good time for this project to start showing some upwards.
