My Betting History

Starting days of 2020 : I took a resolution not to gamble.
Month of March : Once again Started to gamble - Dice

No serious gambling, just for fun along with my girl. Later started to gamble when she is sleeping. Few days past she didn't said anything, because I made little earning. All of the sudden from the month of March to April the slow and steady progress made me reach 0.15 btc to 0.7btc which is very big. Finally the day came where I went for high rolls. Here I got my wallet emptied. That day my girl was crying the whole day and it was end days of April. The following month was the worst I've lived. I promised not to gamble again.

Later once again myself started to spend with limitations along with my girl. Whenever she accompanies we does it for fun and never focus on making money. My mind isn't the same. By the month of October I used my campaign payment from Bitsler. Here I started with 0.025btc and made it to 0.078 which is life saving fund, because it is my only saving. This too didn't last, the wallet got emptied and this time I didn't disclosed it to my girl.

It was truly a good year for bitcoin and for me, but lack of control made the year unforgettable for a reason other than covid-19. People might feel bad on reading it, and I always say the following when you are into gambling.

• Don't try to make 100 with 1, try to make the 1 into 1.1
• Don't sit to gamble, do it when you've free time and funds after meeting all needs
• Be clear (fix it in the mind), everyone won't be lucky to make a big win/earning out of gambling
• However we try, we loss control. If you feel you're losing try to focus on something else to avoid loss
• Share your hard experience of losses with someone close to you. This will give you peace of mind, because when you keep it within yourself you mind wavers and think negative
• Always try to gamble with a companion sitting next to you. This can help you take a break from gambling
• Always have communication on chats available on the gambling platform. This will help you get good suggestions when you're on winning as well as on losing streak
• Never set a target and get into gambling

Below is the statistics of my wagering on one particular gambling site. It is hard to see this, because I've got lots of wins and very less losses. These small number of losses have eaten up all my winnings.

Man, you've got a nice stats and profit with the experienced you've shared and it was impressive indeed that you made a lot from your bets. But that's sad to know that you've got nothing left despite the huge amount that you've won.

You probably have learned the lesson in a hard and expensive way by losing those. The price of bitcoin was already good enough by that time and it was even better this time which probably have added to the regret that you have felt. Just learning to control thyself as you gamble will avoid the same mistake you did.

The problem is you don't have enough self-control in gambling, you are urged to gamble and very aggressive and I think that's what we called greed and you forgot in the first place that, gamble only for entertainment purpose only not for seeking money. It seems like you are chasing your loss and that is not a good practice.

I'm once in a blue moon when it comes to gambling, the reason is that I don't have enough funds that willing to risk and lose. Bitcoin for me is valuable and I rather save it for the future that does gambling. Sometimes I do betting if I have extra funds from the signature reward.

I've never made it that big in terms of gambling winning. We have the same problem when gambling, I never learn when to stop and kept on playing till I empty my wallet. I never believe in New Year's resolution because I tend to break it at some point. I just try to be better and now I have kept away from gambling for almost a year and insted turned this supposed gambling money to savings.

Haven't made any resolution for the year related to gambling. I'm sure I'll gamble, maybe this time lesser than the previous year because of the experience and learning got in the urge of money making.

These are quite some concerning statements, if you ask me Until now as you say, you just play with savings, but it's probably not far until you start to play with money you need to pay your bills and then things can get ugly quite fast, if you have "lack of control" and the "urge to make money".

I don't think you are just playing for fun, but try to or have the expectation of making money. You can't make money with Dice longterm. You can make money short-term as you have shown, but the human nature is to be greedy, so all the money you make short-term, you will lose again, because you (and a lot of other people) just can't stop. They smelled the easy way of making money and believe they can beat the unbeatable odds, but this is just a pipedream.

There is not much interest in my betting history for 2020. I have only made a small bet here and another small bet there. I am not a consistent gambler. The interval between my bets might even reach weeks.

After reading your post, I guess I am lucky enough to be a little busy with a lot of things in life that I cannot have a lot of available time to look for nice gambling platforms, burn hours playing in crypto casinos, analyze sports odds, etc. I am also lucky that I don't have a lot of extra money. I might also end up playing with them and eventually losing all of them.

Thanks for sharing some lessons for a better 2021 for gamblers.

As it usually happens, your rational mind knows what to do but the emotional part ends up winning. The only thing I recommend is that you don't play, nothing, zero. There are many people who gamble and don't have those problems, so they can play from time to time, maybe they spend more than they expected at some point but without having great regrets.

But the one who has problems with gambling is like the one who has problems with alcohol: the solution is not to try to control when you drink, or when you play, the solution is not to play (or drink).

This was a sad truth but truly a reality of life in gambling. For me this only shows that skills in gambling doesn't work alone but instead the presence of luck should also be exist to be able to make the game more enjoyable in favour of you. And what i have learned from your statements was gambling should be made only if ever you have an extra penny of yours after meeting your needs and also sit in the game wherever you only have free time and make sure you are enjoying it

Sometimes we tend to go back to our old habits even though we promise to do better next time. It is part of our human nature. I myself don't like losing too much money when I gamble, so when I do I spend only a little money on it to make sure I don't overspend on gambling. I don't gamble every time I have a free time, I do it as part of my leisure time.

You should atleast let your girl know whenever you do gambling so that you can have her opinion about it and control you in case you are out of control. I have this gambling addiction before. I share my problem to my girl and she really helps me to control it by reminding me to gambling whenever she saw me. Sharing your problem really helps to fight it. Don't let addiction control you, Worst case you will be depressed alone due to loss.

What you said is true, I should've shared my gambling plans and asked for her opinion. Here the scenario is different, already she had suggested me not to gamble alone. Do it for fun with her, but I wasn't able to follow it. Second thing after the first heavy loss, she cried a lot and those days are really bad. Those moments made me not to share my losses anymore when I go out of control and gamble.

This is something that I don't want to happen again, gambling has a lot of temptation, there will always a point where you can't resist to deposit and bet,  in the early days of my gambling I cannot stop, I don't know how to stop the adrenaline from pumping into wanting to bet more, there's always those demons that tell you that you will be lucky on the next roll or bet, glad that I overcome it, so far I have not lost hundreds of dollars in one sitting, I lost count of my losses and my winnings I don't really have to count I only need to learn how to move on.

I'm sad to see that you have failed to take your resolution. I hope that this new year can help you realize what you have lost and what you can do regarding your downsides during 2020, what you have described in your post. Remember that you had 2 months of bliss, or without gambling, maybe you could go longer this time around.

Anyway, my betting history in 2020 isn't really that great. I had tried to profit from an invested capital of $200, but I lost more than half of it and remained at $50. I didn't want to gamble something I couldn't afford, and this had made me realize that it's not making money off it but just entertainment, like what gambling should do.

What you stated is also applicable to different types of applications like trading. I think most of it applies to it as well because almost all problems stem from human emotions.

Losing just $100 in dice is already unforgivable to me, I'd already be thinking that if I just hold it I'm already profiting because of the BTC rally. Such a small amount but its a pain. Promising not to play on dice is hard to do when you are promoting it yourself.

What helped me a lot was to cut back on the funds that are readily available for gambling.
If it was a crypto, put most of it on some sort of cold storage, like a hardware wallet or a paper wallet. That way, you're not going to be able to easily lose control and gamble everything. It's very much like when you're looking for creative ways to hide candy from your kids! 

The worst option for me was to keep larger sums directly on the gambling platform.

I have go back and check how much I had deposited and how much I have profited or lost from gambling. However, overall, I can say I'm in profit but that not too much ad I don't gamble with big money. The unforgetable betting this last year was getting 5.40 odd for ManU against PSG and I won the match. It was a big win for me indeed.

Surely the years of you gambling have honed your behavior and most likely your skills altogether. A lot of people might say that what you stated is something they already know or whatnot but only a few people are actually able to do so. Especially when it comes to the issue of control, where moet people lack at.

I'd suggest to get a breather everytime you lose, regardless of how big or small the lost is. Losing even a single dollar might take a toll on some gambler's decision making and would altogether push them to do things they otherwise wouldn't do if they have a sound mind, so take a breather, watch some TV, play relaxing games, then comeback once the lost doesn't get to your nerves that much anymore.

You have Made a Mistake earlier losing 0.7BTC ,Man You know how much is that today? And You are very Lucky to Have a supportive Girlfriend but what you are doing is something that one day you will regret .

If she Realizes that You are not worth trusting ,Surely She'll leave you for Good.

Remember that Gambling will never lose to us Players , So by any chance try to take Little by little each time you Play , So at least there will be a Way to recover from your Mistakes.

It is painful to read such topics, especially when they mention third parties who in some way suffer from the gambler's losses 
I hope these losses, which were sensitive to your budget, will help you become more disciplined and avoid gambling altogether (or at least until you can allocate really free money for it).
As for me, I lost $ 500 in trading this year. It was sensitive but not tragic)
