That's right. We can't expect this bull run to be forever. So at some point, it will go down. But when? No one knows. So in order to prepare for what's to come, you should have some sort of plan to optimize what's happening in the btc market. One can sell some of his portfolio just to make sure that you took advantage of this price level. I think it can now be safely said that bitcoin won't be going below 20-25K anytime now. All of this appetite cannot be retail driven after the experience that people had during the last ATH. Coinbase sold almost 1 Billion worth of BTC.

Though the biggest whales are still concentrated and this may just be their attempt at making the most out of the hype and all the rich mofos jumping on the bandwagon. Last time they took retail buyers to 20K and milked them just right. Its the HNIs now. The target may well be 40K or who knows what. I'd only say that for those who have made enough bitcoin that can help you at this point in life in the real world, take a target and cash in. The whale games will continue to be played but its better to take the money if its useful to you. Of course, don't exit completely.

Personally, I don't have enough BTC that it'll make a difference to me even if it reached 100K. For someone like me, Cashing out is not an option. This was expected by most bag holders that there is a correction and we can't deny the fact that this will possibly happen the price of bitcoin will repeat itself. If you look carefully in the grap by visiting different timeframe like 1hr, 2hrs, 4hrs, day, week and month, You will notice Bitcoin always corrects price after a massive pumps you can't see it if you are looking on a single timeframe but the current chart of Bitcoin is much different than the first bullrun. Investment company really surging in and scooping BTC at this price level.

The fact is that bitcoin has been breaking All Time High almost every week now and it has been long since a correction has been occurred.
A correction is definitely needed at this point to stabilize the gains. So I do expect bitcoin to fall back a little in early 2021.
But that doesn't mean that bitcoin will dump like the 2018 dump because this bull run is more mature than the previous one.
A correction might occur but it will be recovered quickly and won't last long before the next ATH occurs.

Take a look at December 2014- January 2015 - strong downtrend in both months.
Bitcoin was also rising all throughout January of 2020 and holding steady in December 2019.

Bitcoin is not in another bubble, it still in the early phase of the bull run if we calculate the potential that it might achieve in 2021, probably $100k by the end of the year.
so, it won't get burst but a correction, even 30%-35% will bring it down significantly but the price still holds above $21k.
If bitcoin manages to reach $100k, then the major correction may occur at that level, the history may repeat itself, the price will plummet for 2 years and come back after the next halving in 2024.

Quite frankly, no one in this forum really know what's gonna happen next! The current bull run is quite a surprise for all of us as we have never expected to see 34,000 price level. So no one is sure about the direction it would take in future. But yes, we can certainly expect a correction in near future as per the normal dynamics of the market. This bubble is indeed one of the biggest one and the larger it gets, the scarier it will be when it burst down either slowly or instantly. As for now, many people are expecting that it's near where bitcoin will reach $40k even though it's just the start of the year. It actually feel good to think of it like that but let us not forget about the worst case scenario. Regardless of what may happen, let us first savor the moment, let us all enjoy it before it ends once again. Who knows? So what's the news if I may ask that you're recommending we sell at the news. Isn't what you just said a rumour and with rumours aren't we advice to buy into the market lol?. Nevertheless selling your bitcoin now would be a very costly mistakes as there are still more potential in the bitcoin price of spiking further.

This will be my first time of paying very close attention to the price of bitcoin in January so can't be certain about your claims although form history, the next year after the halving years always comes out as a profitable year for bitcoin. In 2017 there was a bull run that starter from 2016 (the last two halving year).

This is 2021 and we're already seeing bitcoin doing some impressive numbers which just confirm what I have just said above. This growth will continue further as the days goes by although that doesn't mean there won't be corrections on the way.

Indeed Bitcoin is in another bubble but the good thing is, it is yet to burst.  We are still in the early phase of its inflation unless something drastic happens like institution shorting or authority trying to manipulate the price and other unexpected events, the price surge will continue. If you want to follow that history repeating itself, then you should remember how Bitcoin got to ATH in Dec of 2017, a post halving year. We can witness correction in January but it won't be anything near a dump. 2021 is another post halving year. History repeating itself will mean we should be looking at Dec for a great ATH.

There are too few data points to make the conclusion that just because it is January the price of bitcoin will go down, I know that is what happened during the last bull run but history never repeats itself perfectly, most people remember the end of 2017 but the bull run actually began at the end of 2016 if we are going to use your argument about history then there could still be many more months ahead of growth as this bull run did not officially started until October of 2020.

As you can see we can always draw from history something that validates our opinion about what will happen, so the best thing to do is instead to ignore it and concentrate on what we have ahead of us.

Actually no one knows if this is just kinda sort of another bubble again and if it is, then when it will burst, with that, no one literally knows. That is kinda a difficult and tricky question to ask for we are just being surprised by the market bull run happening that seems to be on start and we are still not reaching the peak of it. Many of us are anticipating the possible dump to happen despite of the continuous pump that we are having right now since many of us have learned the lessen from the last bull run so most of us are surely gradually putting and pulling out to secure profit so if ever the same thing happens once again, at least we are on the safe track. With regards to the bubble burst, no one knows when that is why we must keep on observation but as of now, we must see into it to grab any possible opening of opportunities to get along with this bull run to gain profit while it is still possible to get along.

I don't agree if the increase in the Bitcoin price that is happening right now is another bubble, because the current increase in Bitcoin is
very different from what happened in 2017. If we do research and analysis properly, will discover some facts that Bitcoin fundamentals
are currently much stronger than they were in 2017.

It can be seen from the investors who bought Bitcoin which are big companies with a large market cap. Likewise many rich people around
the world buy Bitcoin, one of Mexican billionaires Ricardo Salinas Pliego is investing 10% of his total wealth. So I don't believe that the current
rise in Bitcoin is a bubble and is about to burst.

The price will drop but its not a bubble, if you done your own research where in the second phase of a big bullrun. Yeah sure a short term pullback will happen but Bitcoin's price will never go back to $10k. If you're a weak hand goodluck with that but shorting instead of accumulating and buying dips is a good move in long term perspective.

Exactly, bubble by definition is quick increase in value which followed by a crash that is impossible to bounce back. Remember the South Sea and Tulip Bubble they never bounced back. I think that a pullback will be healthy for the market because that means that supply is sort of replenished.

My personal take on the title is no we are not in a bubble, if we are in the first place then the prices right now is impossible and bitcoin will just be another failure, the burst will not happen because there is no bubble after all.

I think January could be very good for Bitcoin and will help it reach the $50K mark or at least anywhere near it. But after that, I'm not very confident that it can rise further. People will start selling it eventually and there are high chances that the bubble could burst in Feb. But I certainly hope that this doesn't happen.

History has never favored Bitcoin in January

Nonsense. The price tripled in January 2011, rose by over 50% in Jan 2013, and rose over 33% last January.

It has never fallen by that much in any January.

To me that plays a big role, there are many studies that show that people are very envious, they cannot accept that someone is doing better than them even if they deserve what they are getting so they actively try to ruin things for the successful person, as such many people cannot accept they had years to buy bitcoin for relatively low prices and that they could have become rich in a short amount of time if they decided to do so.

And since they cannot turn back time then they do the only ting available to them, they begin to call bitcoin a bubble in order to protect their egos and see if they can see those that are successful in this market suffer when the price goes down.

They are just simply looking back or trying to compare prices on peaks and assuming that it is dropping on that month without even realizing that it is still on the positive side of things.People just dont know
on how to look into those charts and having some impressions that it never performed well in january but to see that it is still on the gaining side.People are having the same impressions that they are now
seeing currently in the market. It crashed? No, we are still on the positive side but as we all know that price can really correct up this way. Bubble burst? Lets talk about that when we headed
back to 10-13k price on what we have seen into those  previous months before we had climbed up this far.
