Though 2020 is widely perceived as "the worst year ever," it was only a snack. The real banquet of consequences will be served in 2021. The reason 2020 was only a snack is that systems didn't break down in 2020. The reason 2021 is the main course is that systems will break down, and once broken, they cannot be restored.

I made the chart below to explain how systems fail and why they cannot be restored.

Fiat will never crash until the people refuse it like me.

The average person still thinks fiat is backed by gold. Go out and talk to the common man about money, they are ignorant to the fact it is backed by nothing. I`ve talked to 100`s of older people and they all think the shit is backed by gold still.

People have been predicting a crash for so long... While I am 100% certain the US dollar will crash (it already has lost like 99% of it’s value), I’m less certain it will happen in my lifetime. Given historical norms, we are definitely in the time period one would expect the US dollar to lose reserve currency status, but they have such a massive empire behind them, the ignorance of the populous is very much in tact, and the people seem to have a growing desire to become more dependent on government services and support. That leads me to believe they’ll be able to keep those printing presses running for a long time so long as the people are dependent on them for food, shelter, and healthcare. That growing dependency doesn’t look to be reversed anytime soon, so the crash will either be quick and ruthless (unlikely) or a continued slow motion train wreck that slowly erodes quality of life for a vast majority of Americans over generations (likely).
