Max Kaiser says that "one of the major Central Banks will close in 2021-2022, utterly and completely".

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_VcOjre9h60

Is this guy high? Is he an idiot or what? If he turns out to be right I'll admit it and I will take him into great consideration but I think he is just nuts.

I don't know much about him, apart from the fact that he is well known in the cryptocurrency space. I've googled about him and found that there is no middle term: some people love him and some people hate him.

Here we have an old bitcointalk thread about his credibility:

Why does Max Keiser still have any credibility?

Anyway, in that video he says that one of the major Central Banks will close in 2021-2022 and that will start a transition post-central banks.

The idea sounds good to me but I don't expect it so soon.

He sounds to me like quack.

Yep.

He's just some TV/internet doofus. He has no real-world credibility.

If there still exists a bank that only offers their own fiat and doesn't deal in anything else then I can imagine them closing...

There might be a decision made in the different currency areas of Europe about whether to do strange things with debt (eg some Eastern European countries light have their debts adsorbed into a slightly more inflated euro)...

It's not a good idea for stability for a central Bank to close without offering anything else though and theres no feasible alternative so one will likely open in its place or it'll run with another country'scurrency.

Having an image as a youtube star and having some credibility in your words are two different things. You would have seen foolish internet bullies on youtube have huge subscribers it's because people like to watch such content and the same is the case with this creator. People like to watch this content as they love this idea that he gives. But this doesn't mean he is even a bit credible. Falling of a central bank isn't a joke it means falling of a county in itself. When the Zimbabwean Economy collapsed even at that time the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe didn't close down and you are expecting a major world bank to just shut down like anything? The people in the system know how to predict early signs and react according to them.

Anyone can claim but we all know that this one do only happen in dreams. To think that these banks will exist no matter what as long government do exist.

Lots of popular personalities, influencers, traditional investors etc. where you can expect to have their own words neither its negative or positive but doesnt mean

that this will be your criteria on making out your investment decisions.Making central bank would cease to exist is really an impossible thing.

They will preserve the strong foundation of a Central bank and don't let it vanish, since many institutions relied from this bank. Government is a strong pillars of it, so it just remains a perspective of any random individual that this will be closed. Most probably, small banking institutions might closed down due to economic challenges but with Central banking I don't think so.

I have just seen another video on the same channel and he has nuanced what he said that at first sight seemed crazy. He says that the central bank that has more numbers to close would be the ECB but to become another institution after bailing out. I don't believe what he says either,as he's playing the role of a media star giving great headlines but it makes more sense and is better understood. Just as he said the previous time, it seemed that the central bank was going to just close down and start being replaced by bitcoin.

His prediction of the maximum for this year: $230,000. It seems that he was right in his prediction for 2020.

By the way, I quite like the presenter.
