Hi,

Pretty new to all this. I need to make a payment online with bitcoin so went with blockchain and have transferred bought bitcoin which is now in my wallet. I tried last night to use this to make a payment but it wouldn't let me transfer from my trading wallet into my bitcoin wallet to transfer outside of there. The app is a nightmare.

I then today went to try again and now my wallet won't even load.

Can anyone help as there is zero support for blockchain that I can find anywhere.
Thanks in advance.

Many have complained about the same thing, and it is about the fact that your funds are in the so-called trading wallet, and you should be able to move them to a normal wallet in 7 days at the latest.

5.2.2 Minimum Holding Periods
When you place purchase orders in the Trading Wallet, we may impose minimum holding periods in respect of any Virtual Currency that you have purchased which may last up to a maximum of 7 days. These minimum holding periods are necessary to enable us to carry out effective fraud prevention measures and to ensure that the fiat currency leg of any given transaction has settled. After this minimum holding period elapses, you may trade your Virtual Currency in the ordinary way.

Personally, I've never encountered the blockchain.com app, so I can't say anything on the subject - but I guess you have login/backup information that you can use to log in to their website. What I can still advise you is to do a soft reset of the device, you may have RAM problems due to the large number of apps running in the background.

I then today went to try again and now my wallet won't even load.

Their apps on android are worst and always have that bug.

Do you have any backup of your wallet?

As the above said you need to wait for 7 days before you can able to send/transfer it to another wallet. If you still experience bugs like the app not loading or you stuck on a black or white screen try to do these steps.
First, make sure that you have a full backup(Seed phrase) and then go to settings>application>Look for blockchain app and clear data.

Open the app and try to login again. If you still stuck on loading the wallet try to login directly to the website using the phone browser.

Also, take note of some clone blockchain app there are some fake wallets out there so make sure that you are really using the legit app.

I would suggest that you use popular centralized exchanges like Binance, Kucoin, Kraken etc or p2p exchanges to buy Bitcoin and then transfer your coins to better wallets where you have full control of your funds like Electrum (https://electrum.org/#download).

There have been so many complaints about blockchain.com first locking funds for about 7 days

Blockchain.info wallet does not rise to be a wallet due to the many security difficulties and problems with the support team, and it does not rise to be an exchange platform with high fees, low trading volumes, and few trading pairs.
I suggest you use Binance as a central platform, and then when you don't want to trade, use electrum wallet for storage or hardware wallets long-term storage.
You now need your wallet seed and extract your money from it.

I don't think you should worry. I think you already notice about lock period of your funds. Since you already bought bitcoin on the Blockchain, now only you have to wait, support will not help you before reach the appropriate lock time. By the way, blockchain is the worst wallet if it comes to support. Just better to avoid buying Bitcoin from the blockchain and choose a reputed exchange.

I will encourage you to use a hardware wallet to store your funds, don't use blockchain or other noncustodial wallets to store your bitcoin where the seed or private key isn't under the control of you. If you can't afford a hardware wallet then just go with Electrum wallet.
