The price of these indexes will be determined by the underlying assets they track along with the strategy used to create the indexes. For example there can be: a top 100 market capitalization-weighted index a top 30 sector leading index using an equaly-weighted strategy a 200 micro cap index using a price-weighted strategy The crypto-assets that go into the index, the strategy, the pre-requisites for an asset to enter the index and more will be determined by the community.

Here are a few of the advantages to buying index tokens

No brokerage fee Since the index is a token and is sold on a crypto exchange there are no brokerage fees.	Low maintenance Since it is one ERC20 token that tracks the whole index. An Ethereum wallet and not a range of assets.	Transaction costs With one index token there is only one transaction needed to buy or sell all the underlying assets.
Deversification The index is a basket of assets which permits investors to diversify their investment with one token.	Barrier to entry The token is available on crypto exchanges with no minimums, lowering the barrier to entry for buying the index.	Fractions The ERC20 structure permits investors to buy a fraction of the token and still benefit from the advantages of the index.

Hi, we are working on creating community governed tokenised indexes. We are doing for crypto what Vanguard and Russell do for stocks just we are getting the community involved.
