Hello all

Checking in again now that the price of btc has dipped. I still have this coin and am again looking for a sale price of 1.29btc. I am willing to use minerjones or meet at an agreed safe location. The price is pretty firm, if you give me a good reason to come down I may consider it but Im not sure what the reason could be.

Will be happy to post pics again, and/or do anything reasonable to confirm my legitimacy.

Have you thought about getting it graded?

Ive considered it but was hoping to sell on here without the scariness of sending back and forth to grading company. Even sending to an obviously reputable character like Minerjones is scary to me but I have become more willing to do that since I originally posted the coin a couple years ago. If there was a way to get it graded in person somewhere near me I would be interested.

Anyway not holding my breath but I'm hoping for a no hassle and smooth sale to get rid of this thing. Cant stress enough that I know I am an unknown newbie and am more than willing to do anything reasonable to prove I'm legit and not a scammer

***Price reduction to 1.20btc***

Deal runs through MinerJones or can travel to meet in person. If cash transaction will do for 1.15btc equivalent and will use whatever escrow process is customary here.

Willing to take whatever steps are needed to establish legitimacy as someone with no transaction history.

I have agreed to terms with Mister Av8rJeff for a sale price of 1.20btc cash equivalent via zelle or venmo for an in-person transaction. Can anyone suggest safeguards for the two of us for this transaction? I admit to being nieve about the methods scammers use for stuff like this. I know paypal its possible to reverse transactions so that is not an option, but have to do some research on the others. One obvious thing is to do the deal in a place like a bank or police station but other than that what do smart cryptoers do to protect themselves in these in person transactions?

one easy solution - meet at a police station or a very public place.  Hard part with zelle or venmo is its possible to get transactions reversed so you really need to be able to trust the person paying you to not reverse the payment.

if it is in person, they could simply just buy btc with the fiat and pay you in btc - that will not be reversed then and you can easily verify the txn on your own.

Or a cashiers/bank check would work also

I had a high school friend sell his truck for 48k via cashiers check 6 months ago… yeah that check was counterfeit and his truck was half way across the country 24 hrs later.

I feel safer using Miner Jones as an escrow (as buyer and seller) and shipping registered mail or priority express with 3rd party insurance. Coin really needs to be authenticated and holo looked at (in general when spending that amount of money). And you need to make sure you are safe as well.  When packaged securely and labeled correctly - 99.9% of the time you will be fine.  And it will also be cheaper/safer

I couldn’t imagine meeting some guy off the internet with 30k (does Zelle have limits? Venmo was 2k at one time) or a Cas coin

A fool and his bitcoin are soon parted…

I've done several large deals! Some in foreign countries.

1. Type up a purchase agreement with them so everyone is on the same page and sign it.
2. To verify the person is serious, you can have them send a fee that goes towards the full purchase price. For example, have them pay 3k. It isn't refundable if they don't show up. This will also help pay for your travel expenses if they waste your time.

3. Buyer was to bring a cashiers check of the total amount minus the 3k that was sent a week earlier. Venmo/Paypal will most likely flag or hold large amounts of money for a period of time. Over $10,000.00
4. If you have a receipt for your original purchase bring it. You don't need to show it to anyone unless necessary. This can help protect against confiscation by TSA or foreign government.
5. We met at a hotel were we discussed the collection and verified that it was authentic.
6. We made sure that the hotel was within 1 mile of the sellers bank branch. After the collection is authenticated and verified, we both went to the bank together and the cashiers check was deposited.
7. Only after funds were deposited, the bank says everything is good and a receipt was given, did we part ways.

Hope this helps.

Hi folks

I've posted here every few months for 3 or 4 years now seeking to sell this 1 btc coin. Please check back in the thread for pics etc. I'm a total newb to crypto and am hoping to take the cash value of the coin plus some premium, and avoid having to worry about redeeming the coin without messing up somehow. I would also like to avoid making any type of KYC account if possible.

I am absolutely willing to do the sale through minerjones or do an in person cash or combo cash+btc transaction at a super safe location like a police station.

Price is 1.15btc or 1.10btc equivalent in cash,  and am even willing to agree to a tentative sale pending minerjones review of the condition of the item when he receives it.
