so when another all time hits sell for alt coins. by that time i will have a bunch of alts lol. I have a lot now. but nothing serious. enough to be a coiner lol.

Are you planning to hold for long term? It's not a smart move to sell all your btc for altcoin, if I were you I'd only sell half of my btc because you can hold btc for many years with worries, it's the best digital currency for sure, I hope the altcoins you buy are top altcoins? It's bad idea, you're buy the news... not buy the rumor.

If bitcoin is bullish, most alt coins also in bullish too since they got hyped from Bitcoin. If you buy alt coins when Bitcoin reach ATH, it mean you buy alt coins on ATH too. Soon if Bitcoin is dump, alt coins will crash and hard to recover... it mean you will ended loss.

Alt coins only for short-medium term hold, not long term investment.

you were doing it very wrong dude. Invest when the coins get dumped. It's a very bad idea to invest when the price has been hitting all time high. Believe me you will never earn any profit if you are still doing it.
Stop to invest when the price gets pumped. You must enter in the market when the price was going down to the bottom and you can make profit after the bounce happened.

That is not a good idea to sell bitcoin for altcoin because by holding bitcoin itself, you make a big profit, especially when bitcoin price can back to $40k. But that will depend on what price you bought bitcoin before. If you buy bitcoin at $20k-$30k, you are making a profit, but if you buy bitcoin at $38k, that will be risky because the price now is down, but you do not worry because the price will increase again.
But if you think that the altcoin will increase, you can hold your altcoin whenever the price is down again following the bitcoin price correction. I hope you can hold the potential altcoin, so you will have a chance to profit later.

No one can stop you on buying altcoins since its your money after all but the mistake you had done here is that on what you had buy.Altcoins are better ones but only to those top ranking ones
but if you do consider on buying those shit coins then you are really at trouble.

Take a look on what happened on top ones? They did really make out some gains after the btc run but eventually having some correction.

If you have converted your btc and had invested on ETH or XLM for sure you do make out gains when these coins had made out some significant move.

It is not a good idea to sell your bitcoin for altcoins. What you just did for me is a mistake. You shouldn't have done that and you kept bitcoin first and invest in altcoins with another set of money or capital.
