Like many last month I was thrown when Claymore suddenly stopped.  And not only that, it wasn't going to get updated.  Dev fees aside, it was stable and it worked very well.  But just like others I had to find myself a new miner.

I'd used lolminer before so I quickly jumped to it and got it up and running.  I was a little dishearted to find that I was only getting a hash of 19, whereas with Claymore I was getting about 33.  It was suggested to use AMDTweak and I was able to squeeze out another 1.5 - 2 hash.
And I'm currently using the AMD software to underpower, increase fans, but when I attempt to set the GPU clock speeds it tends to run for a while and then driver crashes.  I'm doing about 21-22 hashrate at the moment using lolminer 1.19

What I'm wondering is; has anyone done a comparison between ethminer, team red miner, lolminer and phoenix?  I'd love to hear some comparisons and hear which may be the best one to settle with.

I'm just trying to get back up to the old hashrate (or closer to it)

Each rig is:
Windows 10 x64
(12) AMD RX570 8G cards (AMD driver 20.11.3)
lolminer 1.19
AMDTweak 1.1.0.3

Adding in a snapshot of my AMD via GPUz

PheonixMiner has same features as Claymore with built in straps. Give that a try.

I'm not a fan of lolminer anyway, try using phoenix miner or mining OS like hiveOS, simplemining OS or MinerstatOS, also make sure you activate compute mode in your AMD driver settings, without this activated there will be loss in hashrate

How to choose the best Ethash mining software? Conclusion
Our experiment shows that the best mining software for Nvidia is T-Rex and gminer, for AMD – Teamredminer and lolMiner.

I use a Timredminer, lolminer gives a smaller hashrate
RX570 8G without overclocking gives 24-25 megahashes, can you try the operating system on Linux?

Getting 24 - 25 megahash on 8gb variant of rx570 isn't good, atleast the graphic card should be outputting 30mh/s, it's better if OP can change OS, windows OS sometimes can drag down mining hashrate for different reasons but on Linux it's not same, Linux OS is smaller and lighter

Flash your card and you get 30mh/s or more, and if you not want to flash, use amdtweak. By the way, shown hashrate is not interesting, the real pool hashrate is more interesting and here are lolminer and teamred better than all other AMD miners.

If you don´t know, how to push your cards to 30mh without claymore, then go fishing or plant some flowers. Sorry thats one of the basics to understand what is happen if i change vram timings, or mem speed or something else.

If say a fisherman or a gardener wanted to set some timings on a RX580 8GB, would he/she have to read through the entire thread on AMD Mem Tweak XL to learn what each parameter does, or is there a way to find timings that would probably work OK for a given card?

Yeah sure...there is a thread here (actually several) with how to mod a bios..... you listed one....maybe go read it.  If not some people offer the service to provide the moddified bios.  Threads are here as well.

There are mining OSes that also provide this.  So lots of choices.  Good luck.
