This might be the reason in terms of fundamentals but on the other hand  when it comes to price
increase then it is just simply showing off some demand.

lots of projects are under polkadot and they are giving some discount or bonus if you are going to use polkadot, also at this moment this coin is affordable, the price might explode in the future so I'm also keeping some of this coin and hold, maybe I might get lucky keeping it.

There's been quite a lot of news and threads about Polkadot of late and it can only mean this coin has prolly piqued the interest of more crypto users, and that means more demand for the coin and that could be why it's appreciating, it could also mean the devs of this coin are working well on their network, if it's a long term progress, that we'll have to wait and see.

It is even growing more and its seems like big players are confident about it so they are accumulating, it is a quality project but im just concerned about high staking rewards that can keep the price under pressure due to people cashing out their staking profits.

This is because Rococo V1 parachain registration has just begun. According to their tweet, "Plasm_Network
 has deployed the first parachain on Rococo V1.

"Our highest priority in 2021 is to become a Polkadot parachain and build a dApps hub on Polkadot. Today (13th Jabuary, 2021) we became the first parachain on Rococo V1."

They said they have successfully connected Plasm to Rococo V1 as a Parachain Party popper

this market was driven by the power of buyers and sellers mate,

Is not it the DOT already issued the smartcontract? i see that some projects already issued the DOT asset on the parachain. Im always watching the official group of DOT but it looks like im missing something here.
People are hyping it the same as EOS but we know that EOS will be dead in the future and DOT is the only reliable smartcontract platform to compete with ethereum.
It's good to see that my DOTs were increasing a lot too.

Indeed, those coins have a big demand from the traders, but we do not know the right reason for that. But I do not think that it is an exploding because the price does not increase so high. I think polkadot follows bitcoin, but sometimes, the coin price will not always follow behind the bitcoin price because that will depend on the situations and conditions for that coin at the market. But I think that coin will have the potential to increase more than $10.

$11 Billion is a lot of money. Not that many corporations are worth more money. In general things will go crazy this year in crypto. Will be interesting to see how will preform projects that are already valued extremely high.

With ethereum still not solving their fees and another network issue, I'm sure other developers looking to make a good product are looking for better alternatives. And the good thing is, in the last few weeks there have been several projects with good products using the Polkadot protocol, of course this could be a sign that there is a shift from ethereum dominance to polkadot (although not on a large scale)

It is over 12 now and basically some big guys are pushing its price up, there has been significant hype about it in the market and the project is top notch as well so i would not be surprised at all if dot can rally to even bigger highs from here onwards.

As polkadot is seeing as good alternative for eth platform, there will be projects that will utilize this network. As we are not seeing the changes with eth in terms of fees, maybe, there are projects that are now diverting to dot instead of eth. This interest may have contributed to the current price pump. But let's see if they can sustain this market.

Im not sure about the potential profit from the DOT. This time it reaches $14 which can be considered as the new ATH for DOT.
I have been going in since last month and got a very nice profit from this potential investment but how potential DOT depends on what will be your position. So many people are joining in the market at the peak price and that makes them all got a very bad position.

Maybe that is why Polkadot explode and have time to increase to $14. For the early investors or people who bought DOT in the beginning, they are making a lot of money from DOT. But I think the price will not stop to that price because we do not yet see the altcoin season, so I think the price can be up to $14-$20 soon. I have some DOT that I am not selling because I still wait for the next higher price, and I hope that the price will hit the next higher price.
