Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Merely out of curiosity, why is it different this time? You haven't actually given a reason, just meaningless overextended metaphors. Troll harder next time.

all i can gather from his metaphorical poem is that trolls on a forum can break the protocol.

guess he is clueless about bitcoin, and should go back to English class to learn how to write poems with true meaning..

i think he was told that writing a poem will make people emotional, so putting a title as such, followed by any random poem would cause the panic he needs to turn his 0.01btc into 0.0101btc

This is it folks and toddlers, the hard metallic rain drops have turned into but a mere sprinkle. The freight train is loosing its steam, a blimp in the history books of what is to be a stepping stone to Maglevs and Hyperloops. The ignorent bag holders holding their pitch forks ready to strike at any form of basic logic about what technology has taught us time and time again; "The only thing that is constant is change". One peek at this forum sends chills down the spine of an innocent onlooker, but alas, one sees but a circular formation and within a white mist of an uncanny bliss of ignorance only to be excelled by the next recruits that wish to bask in such alluring prospects of wealth and status, oh but an innocent dream to be, an unknowing trap to bash a handle until one eyes fade, skin turn into but a soft stretchy mesh that signals your inevitability; to make way for the new born's to be.

As the appointed regulators glance at another mark within there territory, a rush to the scene with an emotional drive to make foolery out of any potential threat to the paradigm already layed down so flat. But alas, man can never know what cult he is in, as the spell would be lesser.

So here i stand as the inevitable onslaught pursues me.

Where is why?

The answer is in there and can never be direct. The human Psyche strives to not be told what is black and what is white.
"Why" is always a direct, black and white question. You have a cause, and you have an effect. If you don't have that, you don't have an answer to "why". Do you have an answer to "why" or not? That's also a direct, black and white question, by the way.

mary had a little bitcoin,
she traded it soo manic.
But when emptygox went down,
she went into a panic.

Humpty dumpty sat on a 'sell wall',
Humpty dumpty hoped to trade it all.
But all of the bots and all of the whales,
would help humpty to make any sells.

I'm a little Teacoin short n' worth Knought,
too volatile to handle, leaving traders out.

Jack and Jill rode the price up the hill,
turning a few bitcoin in to many.
jacks value crashed down, giving him a frown,
leaving Jill with only a penny.

They said this last crash then it rose to $1,200 USD. Just wondering how this is different, when this crash has more longevity developments, news and propaganda. For instance the IRS claiming now bitcoin is a possession why would they waste time if they new it was not going to last long. We aren't even nearing the end of mining all the bitcoin.

This reminds me of political articles that always start out by describing every detail of the politician they are interviewing "he sits slumped in his chair, a mild grin upon his face with light locks of gray...blah blah blah"

it is helpful because you know early into the article that this author can be ignored because they are not so much providing information but trying to impress the readers with their ability to use a thesaurus

Please continue posting the way you do OP, it saves me the clicking of the Ignore button

(also, when I start watching a movie and the main character is a writer it tells me the movie will suck)

Still trying to workout your point lol

Bill Gates said the Innerwebs was a non-starter, then we had the dot-com bubble, and now it's matured and it's all part of our lives, via PCs, tablets and smart phones.

Likewise, Bitcoin and the alts are having teething problems, and possibly going through a bubble, but they will mature and be part of our lives, via PCs, tablets and smartphones. Why? Because Bitcoin is better and more private than Visa, Mastercard, Paypal and Banks, etc.

No way is it dying. Only about 10% of the people I talk to have heard of bitcoin. It still has lots of potential. There are new users everyday and new people all the time who want to invest in bitcoin. Once we get past this negative publicity, it'll take off again.

So it might be over. Who cares. Anyone who buys Bitcoin knows that it could go down to zero. But the potential upside is huge, so I`m holding most of mine because there is a good possibility of making great returns, possibly mindboggling returns. There`s no guarantee it will continue upward? True, but there never has been. I`m willing to accept that risk.

One peek at this forum sends chills down the spine of an innocent onlooker, but alas, for one sees but a circular formation and within, a white mist of an uncanny bliss of ignorance. Only to be excelled by the next recruits that wish to bask in such alluring prospects of wealth and status. Oh but an innocent dream to be, an unknowing trap to bash a handle until one eyes fade, skin turn into but a soft stretchy mesh that signals your inevitability; making way for the new born's to be.
inb4 another "bitcoin" history lesson.

This will be a fun one for someone to bring back in the future...

Colored Coins is a protocol layer running on the Bitcoin blockchain. It is made of bitcoin outputs. You can create your own coin for only bitdust and it doesn't need any other miners or stakeholders because it uses Bitcoin.

What type of idiot would wait for it to hit single digits if your sitting on a shitload of profit NOW?
Fact is apart from those who do know its a scam and educate others. People are not interested in swapping hundreds of dollars for magic beans you paid nothing for.
The market cap decline is your forecast.
Huge bag holders will exit within a month, and you call yourself an investor? What type of idiot doesn't sell at the top of the chart?

Be honest, all the huge bag holders are mulling over who's going to dump this shit first and send it back to hell.
Its a code of ethics you criminals share. But there is no honour amongst thieves.
Your keep hoping and wishing and soon somebody is going to beat you to the punch.

You obviously have a shitload by the sounds of it. Be honest your scared to dump because you know what will happen to price overnight.
Well somebody with balls is going to beat you very soon!
And they will end up with the yacht and the holiday island not you!

Fact is you cant get-out and expect a price recovery, someone is going to pull the pin very shortly.

Bitcoin blows bigtime all the same. Here's my story:

In the 7 months I was involved here at bitcointalk.org and with BTC.
Their were at least 4 payments from mining that were on the blockchain BUT NEVER reached my wallet.
That led me to asking questions on this forum, that NOBODY could answer. Instead I was called a TROLL and I was lying.
I did eventually get a friend to try and help, but they couldn't resolve why either.
I allowed them access through T.V. as proof the BTC never hit my wallet. I watched them the whole time and they NEVER dumped my private keys.
BUT that PM was unfortunately intercepted by a MOD. Because No-one else knew my pass.
That MOD was around at the time, replying to my posts for help when I was posting their was an issue. No-one else had the power to intercept that PM to my friend telling him I had PM'd him my login details.
After my friend tried to help and had logged out, about 3 hrs later while asleep, my Private keys were stolen and the Teamviewer log deleted. I didn't know they had been stolen as yet, but seen that Teamviewer had been contacted again by the logged out msg that appears when somebody terminates a hookup.
The robbery all happened on the fly when I was on again another day questioning for help about the missing payments. The Mod was also again their that day posting to myself.
I can't prove it was the MOD, but I just know it was. Incredibly I was made fun of by hereomembers after it all went down and how my BTC was stolen.

When I posted after the robbery what I believed had truly happened and how could hereomembers make fun of this. My posts were then deleted, then my account was also. (I have a copy of all this as proof it went down as I anticipated the deletions)
I then realised any credibility that bitcointalk.org MOD was not involved was gone.
I followed where the BTC went and it ended up in this account and  is 100% connected to Bitcointalk - https://blockchain.info/address/16R14EH4v8A9GPXkAAP8gcMFBA8oxA8nbY
It used to be in constant rotation with about another 10 wallets, but it seems they gave up on rotating it about 3 months ago.

On my next account, I mentioned on the BC forum that their "Wall St" investors coming on board was a scam. Again that account was deleted also.
I have never been abusive to warrant any account be deleted. Just hard facts that were washed away like my posts and accounts.
Here's Iconexpert from BC lying about that initial dump to investors and saying it was a glitch - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=469640.17480

I will never forget the day it all clicked and I realized that BTC had turned into nothing but a scam.
From its humble origins of everyone having access to mine as Satoshi had developed. To the mining equipment sellers ripping off buyers while they mined with their machines.
To the farms that have grown pushing difficulty so high its now worthless to mine and centralizing BTC. To the continued lies from equipment sellers with their B.S. of ASIC Scrypts of over 200 MHs.
I have called it a day! I still have BTC even though I am down 90% with all the pump and dumps and continued scams like Mintpals and other exchanges of buying before listing to the public.
The best thing I have ever done is given away all to do with BTC and have returned to a normal life much wiser from the truth.

I don't care if you delete this account, I don't care if you call me a liar or a troll, because I, like most out their believed in BTC.
The facts are is that nobody is buying BTC, as in USD for BTC, yes theirs trading but market gap continues to decline.
So these massive bag holders from all these scams, the farms, bitcointalk.org and the cheating exchanges cant ever cash out even if they tried.
It is only a matter of time before somebody grabs what buy orders their are left. 95% would be fake anyway!

Justice has come full circle and it is redemption to those that have lost.
I have learnt what looks good on paper defiantly doesn't mean anything in the real world, and BTC sadly developed into nothing but a giant scam.
Ironic isn't it?

Goodluck to those who don't know, and to you scammers your fucked! Those who do know are excited to know you can never cash out your hoards of monopoly money and BTC is in its final days of existence.

So BTC is a scam because you were stupid enough to let yourself be scammed, you also gave every person in your street the keys to your vault to make sure the fiat is safe and when one neighbour steals your fiat, yep fiat is a scam too.

Seems to me you were just too dumb to invest in bitcoin, but was blinded by greed and got fucked for... well being dumb.

um they don't need to cash out, stores take bitcoin directly, you can get pretty much anything you want with bitcoin, why would they 'cash out' for a currency that is just going to lose value every day?

well theres actually a huge demand for bitcoin, which is why its so expensive. so how about FUCK YOU for that long pointless story about how you fucking gave away your private key to someone and because of that bitcoin is a scam. why did i read that whole thing, should have known it wouldn't be worth my time..

Then you can live the same dream we all have of going back in time to 2009 and buying $10 worth of bitcoins, then travelling forward to November 2013 and selling them for $10 million.  Grin

TL;DR

(too lousy; didn’t read)

*chuckle* Well perhaps I thought it might be wiser to change my investment strategy. Notice the word "might" (I've highlighted it for you) in my statement which allows me to change my mind without any repercussions. Got to feel the market and be dynamic.

You just can't bear the thought some people have made profit can you.  LOL Cheesy

Never mind. One day you might get lucky. Cheesy

Edit: Perhaps stop worrying about what everyone else is doing and start concentrating on profiting from the inevitable bounce.

Seriously?..... Try harder next time.
Such a poor correction! You actually stated might after the FACT of it hitting single digits. (made it red, can you see it?)

Lols, no your very wrong, I am lucky! Because I am not a slithering slimeball like yourself.
You know why? Because I couldn't get by in life scamming others and thinking its ok.

My richness is knowing I am not you, a parasite, a criminal and without conscience.
Your profits will be cursed, so I hold no jealously!

Once again (not again!) you have contradicted yourself...
(Cough) If theirs a bounce (cough) returning, then why did you sell?

Now please go and stop quoting my whole post.
It makes for an exaggerated read, much like the amount of coin you made us out to believe!
Take my advise, don't worry about profits, start worrying about your persona and your values.
Because that is what you really need to go up!

Okay, next time I decide to adjust my investing stategy I'll ask for full permission in writing from yourself, if that okay with you?
WTF!!! I do what the hell I like. Who is this clown? Shocked

Lols, no your very wrong, I am lucky! Because I am not a slithering slimeball like yourself.
You know why? Because I couldn't get by in life scamming others and thinking its ok.
I assume your calling me a scammer then? If so please enlighten me how exactly I have scammed others?
Buying when the seller thinks the price will drop, or selling when the buyer think the price will rise is not scamming. It's called trading. Happens all the time over the world day and night, be it gold, stocks, commodities etc... and yes, bitcoin as well. Look it up sometime, you might learn a thing or two. Wink
Just because you missed the boat and angry, does not make bitcoin a scam.
I await your verbose detailed response explaining you reason for calling me a scammer....

Once again (not again!) you have contradicted yourself...
(Cough) If theirs a bounce (cough) returning, then why did you sell?
Your trolling. Nobody could be this stupid. I'm calling your bluff and calling troll.
