Consistency with the profit will still be in Gold investment. Indeed the profit from Bitcoin investment is bigger than in gold but if it is assurance, I'd suggest gold because it is having a less volatile market value. But it would depend on the preference of an investor whether he would choose risk but with bigger profit than to play it safe with a smaller one. Many people earned huge profit from bitcoin investment but surely, fewer people have big losses in gold investments. Each of these investments has their own advantages and it depends on the investor to choose which one would be best.

I think it's time we had a serious discussion on whether or not Bitcoin is a better store of value than Gold. This topic has caused a lot of controversy over the last few years, so I would love to hear your thoughts.

Which asset do you think is a better store of value?

I wrote up some of my thoughts on whether Bitcoin or Gold is a better store of value.

However, I'm certainly open to changing my mind!

If you want a stable investment go for gold and if you want the best long term investment I think you can go for Bitcoin. But is you are wise I think acquiring both assets will make your life easier and secure. The best way to invest safely is to diversify your assets.

When do people stop comparing bitcoin and gold, both are good so invest in both, why choose the best one to invest when you already know it's both good and valuable for you. As the crypto and gold markets are both very active at the moment I am seeing this, so stop judging which is better, better buy all of it if you can afford it.

- Bitcoin is on its way to go the the Moon. It is heating up after the halving in the last year and this year will be a witness year for another Moon ride of bitcoin. You can invest in bitcoin if you are brave enough to ignore all drama, FUDs on the road.
- Gold is another good asset for you to invest. With gold, you will have less pressure from FUDs and you might feel safer with its lower price than bitcoin.

It really takes a lot of courage for an investor to choose between Gold and Bitcoin because these asset both have pros and cons.

In bitcoin, you will surely play with its volatility and you need to adopt on the market so you can make it profitable, if not then it is your loss. While in Gold, it is much safer but you need a lot of patience and wait for a lot of time. You can invest on both if you want so that you have many sources of profit.

3. Easily transferable, and can be hidden from the authorities if required. So protected against confiscation.
4. Possible to stay invested anonymously
5. Protected against inflation

Advantages of gold:
1. One of the most trusted assets around the globe
2. 100% legal
3. Protected against inflation
4. Liquidity is good
5. Can be stored in digital form (ETF) as well as in physical form
6. Can be stored discreetly

Disadvantages of Bitcoin:
1. Not 100% legal everywhere
2. Opposition from government authorities
3. Requires at least basic technical knowledge, in order to store and transfer BTC
4. Susceptible to wallet hacks
5. Lack of liquidity
6. High volatility in exchange rates

Disadvantages of gold:
1. High tax rates on profit
2. Susceptible to confiscation and robbery
3. Lack of anonymity
4. Not suitable for short-term and medium-term investment
5. Requires a demat account (for ETF) or a bank locker (in case of physical gold)

Bitcoin slowly became a store of value rather than a daytrading asset as it was in the past. As of the momwnt gold is a good sotre of value as well, given how it has been like this for a couple of thousand years, and to be expected for a couple more centuries, so it's basically up to you on what you wanted to choose between the two, they're both great in their own ways and gets the job done.

Gold has not been going up despite people plugging in their lief savings during this pandemic. Gold is no longer the standard, cryptocurrency is.

Bitcoin has by far the greater potential for an exponential rise, much more than gold. Therefore for a safe bet on future investment, investing into BTC would be more effective for capital gain than gold. In my opinion, gold era is near its end.

This is where it gets confusing. The volumes as per these major exchanges are very high. But in reality, these volumes look inflated to me. Because whenever a major buy order or sell order is executed (like $10 million or so), the prices immediately fluctuate by 5% to 10%. If the depth was there in the market, then this would never happen and the prices would go back to the previous levels in a matter of few minutes.

Which would you say was the best store of value definition.

Bitcoin (at its peak) was 4 times what it was six months ago but has already lost a quarter in the last month.  And it is still only January.
Gold is probably the same as it was 6 months ago.

For many volatility and correlation are deal-breakers that prevent a user from utilizing Bitcoin as either a speculative or SoV asset. Bitcoin may have a limited supply but that fact has limited bearing on the asset’s incredibly high volatility. Volatility might be perfect for day traders, but it is definitely not ideal for asset holders who wish to own an asset with a stable value over the long-term. Sharp and unpredictable moves in the market can result in bad experiences for users.
Gold may also considerably increase in price, but the rise occurs within a period of years if not decades. Therefore, gold is a ‘safe-bet’ given that it is unlikely to fall sharply on short notice. Gold is also not heavily correlated to other assets while Bitcoin experiences periods of high correlation. BTC may mirror the price action of assets, commodities, and sometimes even currencies.
I observed that Bitcoin acting similarly to gold at certain times. Bitcoin is a better investment for short-term to realize it's potential, but you also have the opportunity to lose a lot of money. Gold, is a stable investment that is almost guaranteed to return on your investment in the long term.
