We ask you to change your seeds after 90 days of using your old seed. Of course you can still verify your old bets after changing.

That's the exact information I received, I'm surprise as I don't get this kind of message from the bookies I'm playing as I do usually gamble on sports.

I like to know from those who have an idea on why a site like Bitsler require this?

Maybe they had a bug in their seed generator code or updated something else which requires the players resetting their seed. I can't really tell. They are pretty big and have been around for a long time. Surprises do happen sometimes though I don't think there is any here..

After you change the seed, is your account still good? It's also my first time to read this kind of procedure, been using a lot of crypto sportsbook and I was never advice to change the seed as I thought seed only applies on games which are provably fair, not in sports since it doesn't use a system or something, you can see the sports like and you can check the score on reliable media outlet.

I'm not playing on Bitsler but they should come out with explanation or the announcement thread is the best place to ask about this, but if you can still check your old bets and they are correct, and the new seeds are good when checked then there is no reason to panic or to be suspicious,.

Strange, a request without any more detailed explanation of why.
I agree that there was probably a code update that fixed a security hole.
I also never change my seed, as it's the only way to validate my bets, but if you bet only on sports games... I think that doesn't make much difference.

OP mentioned that he is betting on sports, and you are right, there's not much impact on the fairness as the result can be verified outside the site, probably the request was just a security measures, but let's wait for OP's reply he was not online yet.

There is nothing to worry guys. Seeds have no connection with sports betting or account security. So, if you only do sports betting on Bitsler then 'change seed' prompt is irrelevant to you.

But if you play casino games then you should understand the relevancy of provably fair seeds because these seeds are vital for the fairness of your bets. Bitsler prompts seed change box probably due to the way it handles the server seeds. Most probably, to reduce the load on live database and for database security, Bitsler transfers (or deletes) used server seeds from the database after 90 days. However, as a player there is nothing to worry about. You can always set new client seed for new bets and verify old bets with old seeds. In fact, you should change the seeds more often (changing seeds after every gambling session is recommended).

Changing seeds doesn't have to do with sports betting.

It's only applicable to casino games. If you received a notice like that, then just follow.

You can verify the fairness after all on every bet and it was also mentioned that noticed. I don't think Bitsler should mandatorily explain the reason behind that.

Looks like an issue on their side. Probably just clearing things up or something, nothing to worry about especially since you're doing sports gambling and not casino gambling. If you're THAT fearful something happened, you can go check out bitsler's faqs about their provably fair system. You can read others, but there may be some differences here and there, but just to make sure anyhow.

There's also something here that says that they change your seed every 90 days of using your seed, so you can just go check on that if you indeed used it, but if not then no need to bother checking. You can still use your old seed as they said anyhow. Here's a link to their info about it:

Bitsler is a dominant casino and partially a sportsbook so basically they have a setup that requires the players to change seed after every particular number of days or bets, which one I am not sure but there is a criteria for sure.

So basically you can change seeds and it takes 5 seconds hardly so I don't know what exactly is the problem. I know you must be wondering why a sports player is being asked for seeds and all that but that is a standard procedure like there are players who don't chat at all but that doesn't mean they will delete chatbox from the website.

Also changing seeds is something casino players must regularly do to verify their previous bets and its good the casino is urging you to it because this is something players should of their own.

Client and server seeds are needed to verify a bet placed in casino like games like roulette, dice or blackjack. It's not required in live games like sports, or live Blackjack (from evolution). Bitsler has lots of casino games and hence they are asking you to change your client seed and it can be because of many reasons related to security and "fairness" which is beneficial for you only. I have seen this also happened on stake as well, after maintenance or some period they say to change our client seed. We can always verify our bets using old seed and old server seed and nonces, so nothing to worry about. It's only for our peace of mind

Thanks for the reply guys, I think no one here has experience my experience but your opinion are very helpful.
Those who are saying about casino games, no, I already specified in the OP that it's on sports betting I feel it's weird as I never experience it before but I'm glad that some share there's no risk on my account since sports itself is already provably fair, we can check the score by just looking at the site https://www.livescore.com/en/ and other sites of course.

Anyway, I'm locking this thread now.
