So I was reading about these guys being a scam. I decided to check. I moved a pre 2019 fork, untouched BCH balance from "coinpayments.net" to coinex.. to split. Coinpayments stole the BCHSV. TXID: 4d217a1b63...2de64168. Can anyone take a look at this theft and help me answer once and for all if coinpayments.net is a scam!?! They keep the private keys and take the SV for themselves I think. This country never left my possession so the SV is definItaly with coinpayments.net.

This is not right place for posting scams you must move this thread in this section https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0 then post your all accusation in proper format then surely someone will able to help you in this case.

Can you show the full TXID?
I've never used CoinPayments' wallet: is it custodial? Or does it give you access to your own keys?

You should probably move (bottom-left) this topic to either Scam Accusations or somewhere on the Altcoin boards.

As far as I'm aware... there is no "replay protection" between BCH and BSV... any transaction made on the BCH network can be freely replayed on the BSV network. The BSV should have been sent to the same address as the BCH, but on the BSV blockchain.

If you sent the BCH to coinex, you should contact them and ask them what happened to your BSV... they've likely received it on the same address that you sent the BCH to. Whether or not they're happy to do "cross-chain" coin recovery is another matter.

You should have moved the BCH to another wallet before the fork.
Below is the tweet they made before the Bitcoin Cash fork.

Quote from: CoinPayments
Reminding the community of the upcoming #BitcoinCash fork.
The CoinPayments platform will NOT support this fork - if you have BCH stored in our wallet, please move it to a platform who supports this fork in order to receive your Bitcoin SV.

That makes sense a crypto wallet that doesn't support bitcoin and a tweet to cover impending theft of their customers assets... they are real professionals. If their policy isn't considered theft or negligence I would be amazed. Still. Steer clear of them.

You should have moved the BCH to another wallet before the fork.
Below is the tweet they made before the Bitcoin Cash fork.
So it's a case of "not your keys, not your coins", as always. By my definition anything that doesn't give you access to your own keys can't even be called a "wallet". It's more like an exchange.

If their policy isn't considered theft or negligence I would be amazed.
Many exchanges did this with many Forkcoins. Most Forks aren't worth the money, but this one must have been a nice instant profit for them.

Sounds very below the belt for them to do that. Sure they made an announcement letting people know they would not be supporting BSV but if they took the forked coins then they should give them to the OP and to the countless other they did the same thing too.

Here are one of my threads about Coinpayments because they were recently valued at $200 million and I asked if they really were worth that much: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5094825.0

This thread has been quiet but still deserves a mention.

Did you ever get anywhere with the coinpayments customer services?
