Bitcoin flash mob? (My 20,000th post)

I'm looking for a new part-time bitcoin project as I do the very boring work of blockchain development in my club.  I've been wanting to do a creative project since my days acting with Nathan Fillion.

Here is an idea I came up with.  Watch a bit (or all) before you read further:

It's a great song, politically neutral, and fits nicely with bitcoin's growth "all over the world!"

• This would be a public bitcoin project, not just this forum
• Everyone involved would need to wear a visible bitcoin symbol
• As many "mobs" as possible simultaneously around the world
• I'll add in charts, stats and records showing how crypto is here to stay
• It should be widely viewed in the future since everyone will be wearing masks
• This will need to be done carefully due to the current environment.   (Not doing it Jan 20, for example)

Interesting! People tends to get fascinate and take interest when they see such creative stuff. So promoting it in this way will be fun .
Actually if we see number of people getting interest in crypto currency or I say especially in Bitcoin is increasing . In India only ,a daily average trade of around $60 -$65 million worth of BTC was recorded according to  Monark Modi, founder and CEO, Bitex Technologies.
So, yes I am interested in helping you.

Yes, you might go and invite people to meet at a designated time and place, but this doesn't work well on a global scale due to different time zones. I doubt people would be interested in a flash mob at 5.00 a.m. 

I would love to help but unfortunately I have no experience with organizing events like this.

I sponsored my sisters daughters dance club a few months ago with Hip Hop t-shirts with the Bitcoin logo on, when they planned to compete in a global competition. Due to Covid and all the traveling restrictions... this competition never happened.

They thanked me for my donation with a flash mob that was authorized and arranged in one of our local malls. There was a lot of people there and some of them even approached the girls to ask them where the "Bitcoin" company was, because they wanted to buy bitcoins and they saw the logo on the t-shirts. ( They were send to me and I helped them with the safest way to buy some bitcoins. )

So this strategy work..... but I think you should rather arrange different flash mobs around the world at different times.

I'll build a planning portal for this event, but I'll want to plan it so that any bitcoin donations can be split towards the actors.

Their parents and friends probably made videos of the event, but I never asked for it.... would be weird. They also have the dance clubs name and logo on the t-shirts that can be traced back to me... and I do not want to be doxed.

You mean, like, popular YouTube challenges? Yeah, young audiences seem to be into those right now. I like that idea too.

We should crush comments like this in the early stages.   Crypto symbolizes complication.   

What I'm going to do is find local organizers and leave the details to them.  Being too organized (everyone wearing the same shirt for example) could backfire in this age of organized armed nutjobs.  Doing it all at the same approx time should be just enough to gather attention from the news outlets and promote bitcoin/other crypto. 

This will also reduce the privacy attack footprint.  I only need to communicate with and send bitcoin to a few users, rather than everyone involved.

I found a modern update of the OP video.  Imagine your city and your bitcoin community in there!  If we do this before the Pandemic subsides, then the video of everyone wearing masks will also become historical, and outlast the scamming and the fraud during crypto's initial years.

They can still do it even if they have the difference in time zones. What needs to be done is to have a manager for each country that is going to participate in this flash mob, they are also the one that has the job to coordinate, to solve the problem with time then put a schedule. They can do the performance and record the whole ordeal and send it to the ones that will edit the video.

This one is a big event because the people you are coordinating with are from different country and you also have to rack in some participants which might not come at the time that was scheduled.
