I finally got my money back! It took a week to get it back. But, I'm glad I haven't lost it.

As far as I know, coinswitch isn't a scam exchange. Maybe there is something missing by the user or a bug in the system which is unlikely though. As you can see the user haven't added enough information in the post. He just have stated his coins have been gone. If it's a technical issue from coinswitch end, I guess it will take time for them to find what exactly happened, and later on they will sort out this.

I am not familiar with coinswitch but seems the accuser hasn't mentioned the website name. If the site is legit, there is a chance phishing attack or keypad hack. ETH is an irreversible cryptocurrency, we can't do anything when it out from the wallet. We can't depend on online reviews, it's very easy to manipulate. That's why we have to choose a reputed platform when we are dealing with cryptocurrency. We need more information to realize the actual situation. But we need to be very careful before sending any funds anywhere.

I encountered Coinswitch in some casinos here as they are using it as third party for the conversion of coins. Based from the post of the user, he exchanged 0.1eth first to btc and it went thru but when he exchanged 12eth, that's when he got screwed. The site told him to create ticket but to no avail, his case was not resolved. Too bad for him. Maybe, next time, he can use other crypto exchange like Binance. Converting eth to btc is easy peasy but if you mistakenly use a questionable site, that's when your problem arises.

I think he has provided the order number or ID for his transaction through the support. His story on how he didn't receive his funds, maybe led to a bug for Coinswitch during his transaction with that 12 ETH.

If his order failed, contacting the support will help him but it's been a day that he hasn't received a reply from the support. And if there's still no reply from the support within the next 24 hours, coinswitch failed to help one of their customer.

I will also freak out if that has happened to me with the same amount.

There's a lot of good, reputable, and common exchanges, why he chose to use them? feels bad.

I've used coinswitch before and it's a reliable exchange, maybe the guy sent his Ethereum to another wallet address he have to control over? I'm sure the mistake must be from the user, if he thinks it's from the exchange he should copy the transaction hash and contact coinswitch team for help

I don't believe the coins are gone just like that, coinswitch teams should be able to solve this problem since they can track the transaction hash themselves, it's easy to find out if he get the ETH successfully or not, I once have this issue with changelly in 2017 and they helped out

But look at the negative trust, so it has the history of selectively scamming crypto users, specially if huge amount is involved.

It's never a good idea to be all hasty in making a transaction in this field as, it's irreversible and there isn't any support team that can help you. Here is a post by

Coinswitch pretend to be a good service like changelly and shapeshift but later they start scamming some people and rendering good services to others, something that's well known on P2PB2B exchange, I'm sorry for your loss OP

In his latest update, which he made today, he confirmed receiving his money back.
I don't think Coinswitch is a scam because many other members used their services and everythig went smoothly but they definitely have a terrible customer support. It took op a whole week to hear back from them and to get his money back which is not acceptable.

They did help him with his latest update as posted.

It is good news that they were able to help him get back the ETHs that he believed to be lost. But it's not the case that he believed because it was returned to him. I agree that it shouldn't take that long for him to retrieve those ETHs back and the customer support should have done it well. I guess next time, they'll be more responsive to avoid further incidents like this.

Before you say CoinSwitch is a scam and blame everything on the user about lacking research and everything he posted an update and the exchange from his ETH to BTC has push through,

He posted updates after following the tips of the users and one of that is creating another ticket because the first one he made didn't get any reply. Now for those basing their research on review websites I think they can barely help at all, first of all they are filled with biases and most probably he will be like the same ones as this user thinking that it was a scam just because his switch/exchange got delayed but a delay for me isn't a scam but a bad customer service.

The title is misleading and Coinswitch did not really scam him because he successfully exchanges his ETH for Bitcoin, the only issue is the customer support, I'm just being fair here, he successfully trades his Eth to Bitcoin, so his title is inappropriate and should be corrected, but I agree that people doing a trade should always check the latest news about the exchange or trading site that they are going to use.
