It's a good coin but at the same time polkadot's chain is a bit complicated compared with ether especially for its parachain.
there's a new that has been driving the price of DOT but we will see that whether the pump can sustain even longer or this time it has reached its peak price.

DOT has been making a lot of noise prior to the announcement, prior to this current run. And I would say that it is on the radar of most alt investors that's why the price is steadily climbing in the last 6 months. So I'm not surprise though, so it's good for those who have join the bandwagon much earlier last year and then just hold, pure profit. But just continue to hold I think there will be more pumps in the coming months as well.

So Ethereum total supply is 114,285,060 ?, Why isn't coinmarketcap showing the max supply for Ethereum? When ever I visit the platforms it always show Max supply - No data, anyways, about Polkadot max supply you may be right but that is if there won't be any burning in near future

AFAIK both polkadot and Ethereum has no max supply which means it's not hard capped, not to mention each day both of them generates quite the amount of coins so that should be your concern aswell if you happen got interested with either of them and total supply definitely different than max supply. total supply just how much coins has been generated so far from mining + premine.
I do agree that the uncapped supply kinda becoming such a huge turn off. Once the total supply getting out of hand it's gonna be a mess and could possibly decrease the value of that coin (or atleast contribute to that)

Polka is a very large project and in a year it will be even more so it is not surprising that the price is growing so quickly. I believe that Kasuma will also give more profit in the near future.

I think this is just a start of their parachain ecosystem. They are not even started yet and their market goes wild. This is mixture of Hype and fomo of course. Lots of people are being dragged or influenced by the speed of market increase on polkadot price. Even I surprised how fast they already in span of few weeks. Consider that we are entering the altcoin season, then there is a chance it could also surpass tether provided they had a case with sec already.

It has flipped XRP just like that. I remember the time when Polkadot was still more than $4 per coin and now it’s $17+ per coin, I’ve missed the boat. I thought that Polkadot isn’t going to make a huge impact like Bitcoin and Ethereum. Looks like I have underestimated that coin too much and not following it. Seems that I am waiting for a pullback now to buy DOT at a single digit price.

I think the position Polkadot gets is a perfect match for shifting Ripple down. marks polka dots into one of the promising crypto lists. I still remember at that time many people speculated that Link would replace XRP position, but unexpectedly, polkadot became a mediator and won a lot of confidence from the investors out there.
