Newbie finding his way around crypto investment

I keep feeling hesitated and crypto keeps growing, enough is enough, I'm new to this space and I'm looking into investing in altcoins, I have 1200$ in USDT right now and I can only take risk with 200$, I'm looking into vechain and harmony, looking forward to hear from people on here, are these two altcoins worth the risk? Can vechain hit 1$ in weeks??

you choose the right altcoins buddy,
but i suggest you to do your own research on binance coin, because this coin is the best ethereum competitors now

he got those good  coins and the market movements are positive though some corrections might take place,

but also taking some time in doing your research gives you a much better overviews to those potential coins

to invest your money, most of the time, it's about how you deal with risk and how willing you are to take it

The two coins you mentioned look really good, but you are too late to enter there, because vechin and harmony already pumping really hard.

IMO, for a newbie (i'm a newbie too) there's no way to get a "quick profit" if your money is not much enough. Also, if you're going to investment with a lot of money, there's a high potential loss too. first learn about crypto investment (and the other investment) => high profit = high risk. I remember when i first invest on bitcoin around 2013-2014. I invest then i leave it like nothing happens. Then i came back when BTC was hype everywhere and got shock when i saw my btc value 

Right now, the market is doing very well, it seems every coin can make a profit for you but just invest safely. Don't put all of your money in one coin. You can choose BTC, BNB, ADA (these coin is hype in my place), etc. Follow news, learn analytical, read forum, and your choice is good enough but deal with the risk if the situation is not going well / different from your predictions  Cheers, mate!

The question is, when you decide to invest $ 200 in vechain and harmony, have you done your research on those two cryptos first? or you just get carried away by Fomo which grows just because the price has shown an increase. doesn't that look more dangerous and have a high risk.
it is better to prioritize learning the crypto you want to buy rather than going with the trend. because it is not a good choice in investing.

Indeed, knowledge is important for you to grow and succeed in your goals. There are lots of people who are putting their money on cryptocurrencies without knowing the risks of it because they don't any important information that they should know before doing it. We all know that there are lots of cryptocurrencies out there but not all of them are good for investment, that is why you should study and learn everything that is important to know when it comes to investing so that your money will grow. There are things you should consider before choosing and investing in a particular crypto project.

If you are newbie dont put your money in to new project, it is too danger. Try to put in to top 10 altcoin which is good like polkadot and bnb, or maybe ethereum. But for ethereum $200 is not enough if you want to send it to your personal wallet ( gas fees is so high ) i recommend BNB or dot.

If I were you @OP, I have to choose other coins that have been proven promising and that already have a stable market demand for a very long time. If you don't mind, make a choice on the leading coins including Bitcoin and it can assure you that your money will be safe and it will grow. Well, that also matters how you manage it.

That is what I suggested to someone recently, told them to find a coin that has a constant amount of increase in demand, something that is not as big as bitcoin or ethereum or bnb but something that is small but growing small by small. He told me if he was capable of finding something like that the ywould not be asking me. This is why I think the advice itself is great but I think it is not really easy to do what we advised, that doesn't mean that we should not be saying the same things but that just means maybe we should have few examples to give the people in order to make it more clear.

I am very much against telling which coins to pick but at least give examples that would be better from the history, that way we would be saying like "look at how bnb increased" and that would be fine. This way they will see how it always had some interest even though price wasn't this high and it got higher eventually.

Big profits are made by those who know how to wait. You, as I see, do not belong to such and want to get everything and quickly. Any investment in coins is at risk, and instead of getting a profit from investing in vechain, you can get a loss in a week. And someone else, after a few months, will get a profit from investing in this coin, because he knows how to wait.

If he can learn many lessons available on many sources, I am sure he can minimize the risk and he will have a chance to make a profit. But I agree that he does not have to use big money to invest in crypto or use the money for trading before he learns something about crypto. That will help him avoid the big loss, but he needs more experience to analyze better because learning without practice will not be good. Using 25% of his money will be recommended as he needs to practice and familiarize the market move.

If you really feel it that it could be profitable go for it, as long as you are aware the possible outcome that can be have a huge losses or could end up a huge profit. Being part of here is need to be strong enough to the possible outcome somehow it could be all or nothing situation as you try to invest the coins that you choose.
