Hi there

A few days ago i made my first post in your forum, where i asked about a good place for hosting my miners. There weren´t much action on the question though, only about 20 who saw it, and now replies. That i understand, because to often you see some new guys comming in, asking a few questions without giving back to the community, and then leave when they get their answers. Thats also why i wrote in the post that you should tell me if this was wrong.

Now my post is gone, and not even in my history of my profile - please let me know if i did something wrong, or what have happend.

Since I don't know what you asked and since I don't know where you asked it I can only make the following guess.

This is a BTC only mining section.

So if you asked about any gear that does not mine BTC. you could be subject to deletion.

IN fact this could be deleted since it is not about mining BTC.

Maybe you left a link> many spam people leave links. They are often deleted.




I gave you a merit and I sent a pm to you.  This is a polite follow on your part.

My guess is if you had only mention BTC and did not give links.  Then you got deleted on the following technicality hosting gear is a service offer and should be asked In service area of the forum.

Maybe the mod that deleted you could comment and let us know more of what you did 'wrong'


Since you now have a merit if you continue to post you will become a junior member.

I cannot say why it was deleted, although I would say it fits better in the service section as you're asking about a supplier. Hopefully a mod would reply here to give more clarity.

Yeah it was likely deleted as it is a service question. It also has links.  newbies and links are frowned upon.

I know of one company in his 2 links

coinminingsolutions is based in Europe /Netherlands   I do not know about them

At op. we have over 1 million newbies

10% of them are scammers posting bad links.

My guess is mods saw

newbie and 2 links

and thought bad  with spam or scam.

The down side of this is if you are a real guy asking a legit question you feel mistreated.

but when coins are hot. newbie growth is huge and mods sometimes make mistakes.

Thanks for the inputs - i will try not to make that mistake again, with links. I can´t hurry on the newbie part though, because im a newbie into the mining business  But learning everyday

This forum does not  support newbie miners. I think that is a shame, and members should be encouraged to learn about mining, but the mining mods don't seem to want any competition here. If you want to learn about mining, then you need to find another forum.

Normally I report newbie posts that contain links especially when this is the first post. Seems like 99% of those are just spammers and shitposters trying to get some traffic to their webistes but there are also legit users like the OP. I hope the bad experience won't discourage the OP to stay on the forum, it's good to have new users especially in the mining section.

Maybe you have right here, I don't follow that much but also probably every day we can find some posts from Newbies which offering fraud mining scheme. this is probably one of the reasons why older members are sceptical to new miners.

You are just out of luck. The mining boards are one of the hardest moderated boards on this forum. A lot of posts get deleted there, and as seen from your example, some of them for the wrong reasons. Why didn't the mod simply move the thread to the correct board if he felt it was wrong where it was originally posted?

As for the reasons of the deletion. You advertised two companies that the mod maybe didn't know much about. He could have looked at your post and only seen it as an attempt to advertise two sites and decided to delete it.

Not the mining section but the Mod of Mining section is too restricted I guess. People rarely posting on Mining section and almost 80% of the threads even in the first page locked. If the thread was posted in the wrong section then better moved it to the service section rather than simply trashing it.

Some days I get very frustrated posting in that section.

I just did a review and had 4 spacer posts to lead the review off.  I wanted to keep certain info as stand alone.

The mod merged my deliberately and legally separated posts. Into 1 post.

I normally don't mention much about it, but it makes posting there less joyful than it used to be.

I post a lot more than 50000 even though it reads 34,000 +

 I deleted a lot of old posts.

To answer the OP's question, your thread was moved to the trashcan. My best guess is whichever mod moved your thread did not like you advertising those two hosting providers.

Could be the result of a bug causing the post count to slightly differ from the real value, will probably get fixed after the next recount if that's the case.

If it was in the mining section then frodocooper is a pretty strict moderator, anything remotely resembling spam or a shitpost tends to get deleted there.
