Binance not paying competition winners.

Binance South africa has been pushing and marketing their services in South Africa to try and attract more investment or use for their exchange.

They often hold competitions and AMAs to try introduce more of the market here.

I was lucky enough to win one of the competitions, well at least thats what I thought, Until I met one of the "Binance Angels" who seems to be so arrogant and even want as far to say that the "prize was not an obligation " ?

Cannot believe this is how Binance treats some people that have won a prize, there is the angel by the name of "Lynley(Binance Angel)" who is quite rude and referes to people as "Dude" which in my eyes , as someone representing Bianance is quite unprofessional.



Not impressed with Binance at all for doing this .

I'm not so sure if there's an actual Telegram Channel as an official Binance "South Africa". Usually these kind of Telegram groups were made by just another user and adding the name of the exchanges that they usually use to attract more users.

AFAIK, Binance supports are professional to address issues that has been sent to them and if you think that this is inappropriate or try to verify about that in South Africa, if it's an official person from Binance and if that group is legit. Submit a request and ask Binance through:

Uhm yeah, seems legit. And with that blog link you have shared, I've gone through with it and saw that there's an actual TG channel for Binance South Africa posted below the article. That has 1,191 current members which is the same as the TG channel shared by OP.

What kind of competition they announced and you managed to win. ANything which is not announced by the Binance official isn't an official announcement so don't bother wasting your time to win such competition.
By the way next time you make sure to resize your screenshot to small before posting.For now I did it by myself for you.

This is binance south Africa and the behavior of this person is solely individual thing and has nothing to do with binance as a company although i think as a representative there are certain character one must exhibit especially addressing customers, am sure not all the south Africa angels will behave this way, if they host a competition and promise to give a price to winners then thy should keep to their promise, if there is a reason for the delay he/she should explain it in a most friendly tone.

i don't think it's really that bad, but their admin should know better, maybe he was pissed because a lot of people were asking the same question over and over again, but that doesn't mean he can be kinda rude to them, also if there is a delay the team should announce that too, i don't know whose side to choose to be honest.

I was owed AVAX for example, they said the same thing it will be there in 3 weeks, I got nothing at all. So long story short, there is really nothing worth about the binance competitions that attracts me anymore, I know they are not going to pay.

I have joined Q&A with useless worthless token creators, I have asked questions that I didn't even want to know the answer of because obviously the creator was an idiot, and I have replied questions and filled forms and answered quiz multiple times, I did these many times, never received payment just once. You know why they can do this without any trouble at all? Because they are the biggest and we are just small nobodies, so they can do it and they can get away with it and NOTHING will happen to them.

This is not the only problem, I am also having an airdrop issue with binance. I was waiting to receive the money from binance, but they seem to be mocking. Even so I still appreciate the way they work, binance does not neglect users. Given what it has shown in this market, I think these minutiae should be ignored and accepted.

But the TG conversation only responds of the Angel of Binance , what about the Whole conversation ? and according to the first reply of the Binance representative OP has no respect in dealing with the prize.

I know that the convo looks Rude in that part and the Binance must not have that way of talking , but sometimes Humans respond according to their feeling and the way i see things is that OP is no respect in claiming His prize and can't wait for the formal announcement of distribution , Yeah we sometimes win in event or in competitions but we must understand that there is a process , and for sure that 3 weeks of waiting is the result of His attitude so he maybe punished or really blocked from claiming lol.

If there is binance south africa I guess there should be binance nigeria, binance uganda, binance malaysia too  , OP you aren't talking to the right binance team, is that a PM or what? Hope you aren't be asked to make deposit to receive your airdrop tokens? Be smart, even not all Airdrops are real, some fake Airdrops that use binance exchange name just to lure people

Although I don't know anything about Binance South Africa, but I think that in order to get a solution you need to know how the promotion/competition was managed and who was behind it. Binance is already a prominent exchange, and I don't think they will stoop too low as to refuse to meet up with what they agreed on. So try as much as possible to know who was behind the promotion or competition, the person should be in better position to answer, but that statement from the Binance angel or whatever is bad, and it shows he/she might know a thing or two about it, but might decide not to because of reasons best known to him or her. Therefore, in order to get a faster response, try other admins or representatives other than the one you have chatted with and hear what they have to say.

They launched competition specifically on each telegram group on every campaign. It's up to the community manager what contest they will gonna do because binance allocate funds for that. I don't know if that telegram is a legit binance africa community but the OP should report this on Binance support to verify if the community is official. If its official, He can claim his prize by raising the concern directly to Binance Main.

I do somewhat agree that OP does really have some mistakes on here but as a support representative - you shouldnt really respond like that into costumers.It might be too much but handling out

the situation with outmost professionalism is a must because this will reflect out companies reputation and once they do saw that their support do responds like that then that will really be
giving out negative impression which wont really be that good in any angle.

i think this was some kind of local groups created for a certain country . the op might be from south africa and he search for groups related only to south africa , i sometimes do this on telegram but binance (the exchange ) is binance no extension whatsoever .

im badly curious if what is the prize did he won and why he acted this demanding but its funny how they have that binance angel thing when the atitude of those people are far from an angel .

The problem is on binance support on African group. he refuses to paid the reward for the winner. I never seen that before. I have been actively participating in the AMA that runs on the my binance local group and major telegram group of binance and they are always paying what they have promised before. OP should try to contact the admin binance global group for that.

Are you nuts? AMA is not an airdrop its some sort of activity where Binance is hosting some question and answer portion for their guest projects. It happened all the time on different locals of Binance but I never seen something like arrogant as this. Maybe others were right that this is not an official group, however how come people didn't manage to figure that out in the first place if that's the case? But if this is a legit African telegram group of Binance then better fired those angels assigned or volunteered there.
