Hello everyone,
I wonder if someone got 2009 satoshi's wallets, it there a chance he is in danger?

I see lot of people on this time claims that there are Satoshi. But is there a chance :

1/ those btc have been lost for years. Or some one or some group keep it securely.
2/ the person who have btc don't move it because there is a risk for is identity.
3/ those bitcoins must serve a bigger projet that only trade to recover some money.

I am not Satoshi  ( i don't know what is really satoshi).
What i can say for my personal case is that i followed bitcoin before it was valuated. And before the creation of that website. I heard lot of story since some months. Some people a a part of true. It seems there is lot of hackers who get access to a part of the story.

Not to bad the guy who pretend to be satoshi with the story of Linksys router and the messages to hal finney hhhh. I head about hack of my email box in 2010 Wink . But in fact i can give the serial number of the Linksys mac router...I have never been on this site before 2020.

Bitcoin philosophy wasn't trading for trading. regarding that i am a little bit disappointed.
But in an other and i still believe in world changes, in evolution and not revolution. I don't believe that physical war is the solution. To change the business you have to know the business. Plays with the rule to change the game. And for that i still have hope regarding what i know of the project.

By my part i hope satoshi still have my curriculum vitea Smiley (private joke hhh).

2/ the person who have btc don't move it because there is a risk for is identity.
Those Bitcoin don't need to be moved. If I was satoshi, I would have mined bitcoin in another anonymous wallet that no one knows about it. I would have planned that I will never touch the bitcoin in Genesis block and the wallet that I disclosed to the community.

I read a topic on nonce of bitcoin transactions from satoshi. I did not save that topic so can not give you a link now.

Completely depends.

If someone gains access to Satoshi's wallet through Satoshi specifically(probably through Satoshi's computer), then of course Satoshi is in danger because it means that his/her/their identity has already been found out by someone.

On the other hand, if someone manages to gain access to Satoshi's wallet through something like bruteforcing the wallet's private keys(next to impossible, I know, but just as an answer to this rhetorical question), then no. Satoshi is pretty serious on anonymity, so the chances that Satoshi's addresses being affiliated to a certain person/group is next to impossible.

Even if Satoshi still alive and definitely has the private keys to those coins,  I doubt he will ever move his bitcoins due to the risk to reveal his identity and could affect the price, so it would stay there forever to preserve it. Since bitcoin protocol so safe, no need to worry about it, whoever manages to access the private keys will be traced and can't escape freely, yes he is in danger.

Do you mean this untouched genesis block’s address?  Which currently has 68.36937761 Bitcoin, if there's someone who will touch or hack this wallet, it might be the name Satoshi Nakamoto will at risk, and this will becomes viral in all social media since this address was disclosed to the community that already known belongs to Satoshi.  Not directly with him personally but the name that we know the Satoshi Nakamoto will in danger.

Quote
I see lot of people on this time claims that there are Satoshi.
Precisely, but if there is, the number one that I suspected is Hal Finny.  In 2009, it was announced on Twitter that he is running Bitcoin.  And wrote a message here in Bitcointalk in 2013 about the Bitcoin and me (Hal Finney).

By my part i hope satoshi still have my curriculum vitea Smiley (private joke hhh).
As an inspiration to us that he was made a great project that most of us got benefited from it.  We must be thankful for what he invested though he/they remained mysterious until now.  Let's just respect his decision to be anonymous.

There is a reason why Satoshi's identity has not been discovered,
The Satoshi entity made 100% sure that Bitcoin could not be
connected to its creator.

This is another aspect of the genius that was Satoshi - Anonymity

Satoshi knew that there would be legal implications for creating
a rival currency to the U.S Dollar so in those early years Satoshi
would have been in danger from the Government of the U.S.

In 2021 im not sure those legal implications would carry the same
weight, it is possibly a seperate discussion [or has been discussed?]
So today the danger which was connected with being Satoshi
may not be the same.

I do believe that Satoshi is not really in danger the fact that his bitcoins are not moving doesn't really mean that he is being held by the authorities it just mean that we have a stable sum of btc being stored at a wallet whose owner we know will never sell it personally.

That's why the price won't ever fall beyond a certain value.

I do think that the authorities already know about his identity but rather it's not safe to reveal it.
But who knows. ?
Maybe in the future we will hear from him.

A hardware wallet would be nice though. Or a paper one.

I guess you are referring to Patoshi Pattern by Sergio Demian Lerner (among other, RSK co-founder):
https://bitslog.com/2013/04/17/the-well-deserved-fortune-of-satoshi-nakamoto/
https://bitslog.com/2019/04/16/the-return-of-the-deniers-and-the-revenge-of-patoshi/

and here on bitcointalk as well:

The other possibility is that someone by pure luck is able to generate one or several addresses belonging to satoshi, I know that is next to impossible as well but the chances are there, in that case the identity of satoshi is also protected and the person that generated those addresses can spend whatever money he finds in those addresses as he has the access to the  private keys that allow him to do whatever he wants with that money.

the first part which is the assumption is already flawed that we don't even get to the second part, the question, to attempt to answer it.

there are only two possibilities,
1. either Satoshi still has full control of his own private keys and as someone who created bitcoin and has been able to store it securely so far he will be able to continue securing it forever. which means noone would ever get "satoshi's wallets" except Satoshi himself.

2. Satoshi has destroyed his keys long ago for his own personal reasons which again means nobody would ever have any access to his "wallets" including himself.

How about the US gov created this  and the millions of untouched BTC in the first 2 years are US government secured..

Which is how the USA will bail itself out.  500,000 early coins at 10,000,000 each is

5,000,000,000,000

I am pretty sure there are more like 2,000,000 early coins so it would be 20 trillion once etc gets to 10 million  a coin.

The best part of it is they get China to do most of the heavy lifting over the next 10 years.

this is the number of total address
115,792,089,237,316,195,423,570,985,008,687,907,852,837,564,279,074,904,382,605,163,141,518,161,494,336 (yes it is a copy paste).
Despite the hypothesis can't be totally excluded, it's a very tiny possibility to generate one of the same address used by satoshi nakamoto.
For sure we can speculate about a possible backup of his work, but as I said, it's a pure speculation.

My 2 cents, Probably if some one will be ever able to sign a message from his address we will see something "really big" (both in negative or positive meaning Wink ).

Thanks everyone for your answers.

I do an assumption that is a fantasy Smiley. Let's say there is lot of luck and misfortune on that story.

So let that several but very few people start to mine (I don't give dates Smiley). Everyone did'nt knew physically each others. Someone of them give his signature to an other one because he didn't wanted to drive a community. Lot of responsibility when you don't have what to eat. Let say during all testing to stabilize application/network there where lot of crash of hdd. May be initial keys where on those hdd. So there seems to be lost.

Some times later other attempts where ok. And mining on a server where functional. And the result where downloaded before erase it from the server. Some time people are paranoïde hhh but it could be a chance also Smiley

So now is there a chance to those people to not having problems and also find "trusted" people to contact for help, without revealing there identity and so on. I mean i guess there is already a board. And sometime it's better to take decision talking with people that to be alone.

By my side i will never reveal any name or to much indications but i guess what i should do if i where one of those person.
