The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

If I personally would suggest you to use Electrum wallet, because I have used it myself and it is very easy to use, so you will feel comfortable using Electrum wallet and of course as long as I use Electrum wallet, then I have never had any problems or error in Electrum wallet, so I'm sure Electrum wallet is safe to use as our Bitcoin wallet.

  • Electrum
  • Wasabi
  • Bitcoin core
  • Ledger wallets
  • Trezor wallets

With bitcoin core, you have to download the whole network while in Electrum, you don't have to and it's the most common Bitcoin wallet which is easy to use. In hardware wallets, these two are the most preferred HWs for long term keeps. For other wallets that haven't been mentioned, https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet

In addition to @tabas suggestions, I recommend you also try out Mycelium wallet. I have been using the wallet for a while now and it's actually my primary Bitcoin wallet. In the time I've used it, I have had any problems with it so it's a recommendation from me. Also, it supports most of the basic tools you would need from a Bitcoin wallet, keys, signatures and even supports SegWit transactions. Check out Electrum too. Haven't used it but heard it's good.

I just vote for trezor or exodus wallet. I have been using these wallets for a few years ago and everything went smooth. You can also try to download the exodus desktop wallet. You can also use it to store the various crypto too.

I can't say which wallet is the best, it will vary from person to person. Personally, I use Electrum Desktop and BlueWallet iOS for regular use and Coldcard wallet for cold storage.

I find this to be the best combination for my use case.

There are few recommend wallets that have been mentioned in the comments. I personally use two wallets one for day to day transaction and the other one for holding.

For day to day transaction I prefer mobile based Bitcoin wallet. I prefer using Mycelium and the reason is ver simple it allows me to check, select and edit the transaction fee.

For holding I prefer using Wasabi desktop wallet because of the privacy feature.

You also need to choose a wallet depending on the feature that suits your requirement. Do remember to always create a backup of your wallet.

There are multiple types of wallet and you should choose once that suits your needs the most. Whenever you use a wallet, make sure you (and only "YOU) have access to the private keys. Remember, if you don't have the keys to your wallet, the coins aren't yours! Try to avoid online wallets and don't make a mistake using exchanges as a wallet to store coins.
You should visit this thread and have a read: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1631151.0
Make sure you go through the discussion as you will get better understanding of how different kind of wallets work and which ones your should "definitely" avoid!

Just make sure you store your private key or recovery seed in a safe place only known to you, private keys must not be shared with any other person, it must be known to you only, safe guide it like your ATM card and bank details

Which ever crypto wallet you decide to use make sure it's not online wallet that ask you to log in with email and password, they are called centralized wallets and they don't give users their private keys, If such company goes down tomorrow you won't be able to have access to your coins

There are two wallet options that you can use for Bitcoin, the first is Bitcoincore in the form of an application, and the second is Blockchain.com in the form of a website, these two options are what I have used for a long time now, because they are really safe and comfortable when used.
Blockchain.com is giving users some bugs and bad experience. It's better to choose those wallets that I've mentioned above instead of a web wallet like this.
But if you're using it for a long time and you haven't experienced and met any problems from doing it, you're a lucky guy unlike the others who have expressed their dismay through using that wallet.

Some wallet that ask you email and password are also giving you an option to export your privatekey. That depends on what kind of feature that already offered by such wallet.
I can't say all of the centralized wallet is so bad but i have been using some of these wallets for years and everything is still good.
Even electrum will be asking the password too before try to open your wallet.

Many of the best wallets for Bitcoin. Like Blockchain.com, Ledger, Trezor. But what needs to be considered is the transaction fee, because Bitcoin is the most expensive coin, so the transaction fee, even though it is a small amount when viewed with Bitcoin, will be high if it is converted. I suggest you use BitcoinCore. The transaction fees on BitcoinCore are 0 or very small.

There are many best wallet in crypto market for store your bitcoin but you should choose best. Personally i have been use coinbase wallet of very long time because safety is very comfortable for me in this wallet. However Ledger wallets and Trezor wallets good so you can use both. Otherwise you can choose coinbase if you want.

I'm sure you must have had alot suggestions already, well I would love to add to them, personally I make use of mycelium wallet for anything bitcoin, it's pretty easy to use no superflux design or anything just a simple basic wallet with some great features like signature, keys etc, I can't say which crypto wallet is the best cause I haven't used them all, but I do recommend mycelium wallet it's top notch trust me  Smiley.

Trust Wallet is the right choice, because you can use Trust Wallet to store your cryptocurrency (including Bitcoin), because Trust Wallet is a mobile wallet that can be used to store many types of cryptocurrency (BTC, ETH, BNB, Tron, and many more), so if one day you want to invest in Ethereum or other cryptocurrency, then you don't need to find and create a new wallet anymore, because you can use Trust Wallet, that's why I also prefer to use Trust Wallet (easy and simple).
