I do not know if you have heard but it seems that from 8 February whatsapp will change its privacy policy for users outside Europe by crossing whatsapp data with those of facebook perhaps for better advertising profiling, may it be of interest to users? yes why? if you are on a working whatsapp group, other users will be able to go back to your facebook profile

WA made a nice change by listening to the user reaction...
They just delayed but didn't want to change anything in their privacy policy. People are moving towards more secured messaging platform like Signal for the past few weeks that is the only reason Facebook made this decision to delay it but they said they will exlain the people about the policy changes and will implement it in the right time.

Today I watched one guy in Facebook and he explain pretty good the situation with Whatsapp and to be honest i will stop using it. They saw what is happening with the users and this is why they are delaying the terms, but for sure they will lose many more users.

Then the Privacy will not be completely there? because other users can check your Facebook account in which i believe that Both site must have their own users choice to let the extension happens or searchable or not. Good thing that is topped using whatsapp back in 2018 and until now has not been visiting the site that long.

Never had any chance of using it. I don't know what current issue it has but it has never been the same if it's about the privacy of the users. But it's just the same as other app that's violating the privacy of their users. Just like the popular words and knowledge about it being the product and usage for free.
Yeah, its users are the products.

I will delete it immediately just in case. I wondered why 2 friends stop sending me massages there and told me not to send them anything in Whatsapp. After this comment will read a little more about it to check what is the situation.

Nothing is going to change as long as you/we are using Google. If we want privacy then we should boycott all the google services and anything which is available for free! Possible meh?

I am sure users will be wise to act, and they are smart to choose what messenger they will use. If they do not agree with the policy, they will move to the other platform and not use Whatsapp. They can delay the policy but until when? People will soon know about the truth, and if the policy is not good for them, they will move to the other platforms.

Conversations in end-to-end encrypted chats are clearly labeled with a gold message; these messages and calls stay between you, and no one else can read or listen to its content, not even WhatsApp.

In times of bid data nothing is really free. The most difficult is the withdrawal from the google search engine.... tried already metager & DuckDuckGo. Any other suggestions for "safe" search engines?

Thankfully never had a chance using WA. I've been using Telegram for years now and haven't had any issues with it. Or privacy concerns for that matter.

I can't say much about this but, anything or app that regards not a person or users privacy is not worth it. The problem might be a long time addiction that makes people stick with it but should another of its kind come, it would easily take it's place.

This is definitely alarming. It won't be very comfortable but I think I'm switching to telegram messenger, I think it's one of the nicest messengers at the moment

Maybe it will be more convenient to use after these updates, in any case, we can't influence it.

On the one hand it's scary story about corporations and hunger for user data. On the other hand, unless you use only encrypted services and are shook every time there is a data leak, most likely Facebook knows most stuff about you anyway.

I got so angry seeing what Mark is about to do, WhatsApp has been the only app I prefer because of its privacy settings, now it's fucked up...I need to switch immediately to signal, after all Elon Musk tweeted "Use Signal" and signal has had massive downloads ever since, I have downloaded too😎😊

FYI, the Signal app created by the creator of whatsapp itself after finding that Facebook is not using their former app as they sold it. Well most people still using WhatsApp because all other contacts are yet to download Signal app.
