California and new york residents are leaving their states in droves. Real estate and rent prices are falling from decreased demand. Its becoming a buyer's market. The only real question is whether the trend will be short term and temporary or long term and sustained.

It all comes down to politics, regulation and leadership. Will states like california and new york continue to hike taxes, kill jobs and wreck business causing residents to flee to other states. Or will they reverse the trend and offer more competitive terms in contrast to other states.

you are also missing the fact that economy is in no good shape these days and there is a lot of prediction about it getting worse in the coming years. in situations like that, specially if we start seeing a recession and depression then we can see real estate prices dump as there wouldn't be any demand for it while the sellers pile on.

Cheaper labour cheaper goods real estate cheaper
Its not bad as long as crypto is going up!
but economic and Federal reserve and Central Banks money supply are different things.

the economy can be very down if you will but it does not stop the money printers as long as we have electricity to use it to produce more money.

The POV is very different in crypto, people who’re in crypto, many of them are undoubtedly the people who go through the pain of market turbulence, are bitcoin not a product of expensive market bailouts? Many deny to accept bitcoin is telling the something that they trying to deny. When the price of bitcoin soar to a point, many of them who are hostile on it begin to change their mind, and they take a strong pill and accept the thing that they refused to believe for a long while, yup when the price of bitcoin soar, it wake them up rude and unreasonable, yup, they finally realised they’ve been WRONGED for too many years and missing out of all the great thing that will otherwise they could have made believe, isn’t price itself is the best lesson to teach people who are always living on denial?

We will have to wait and see but I have my doubts, the pandemic has changed the paradigm of how businesses operate forever, there are many jobs that cannot be done remotely but there are also many jobs that can, and during this pandemic there has been an explosion in remote work, this means that companies need less office space, not only that they do not need that office space to be in the centre of the city, so not only they can reduce the size of office space they can also change locations and get cheaper rates, this is causing a decrease in the demand and I personally do not see the demand of recovering anytime soon.
