Read a tweet by Microstrategy's CEO Michael Saylor last week and was intrigued with him reaching out to Elon Musk via twitter to come onto his podcast show to discuss about bitcoin. Because he has probably single handley caused the pump up in price since the last months of 2020 with his company with purchasing for their clients and converting their holdings into BTC. https://twitter.com/Breedlove22/status/1350000053218275328I'd say, why not have a conversation from one CEO with the future store of value to another CEO with the future of innovative technology.

elon would prefer to measure his wealth in mars gold in 10-20 years.
some random guy messaging elon does not signify anything. i can write a message 'happy to have you at my dinning room table anytime' does not mean elon is then going to turn up or suddenly im a worthy person to have dinner with elon.
it seems people dont want to look at the true benefits of bitcoin. nor want to get involved with making bitcoin more useful for average joe to adopt. they just want famed up influencers to advertise bitcoin.. and that shady game of faming up something by product placement does not actually help out bitcoin in the end.
seems all people want these days is a pump and dump via influencer promotion. not a useful currency that anyone can use

While listening to Elon's thoughts towards Bitcoin would definitely be very interesting, seriously though, Bitcoiners in general should probably stop fantasizing about these big names talking about Bitcoin. Just leave them be, they're obviously busy doing something else, and they can talk about it when they want to.

Obviously what Sailor is looking for is to create institutional FOMO. He would like Musk to talk well about Bitcoin, even to say that he has Bitcoin or that he is considering buying, both for him and for his company. He said so explicitly in an earlier video. If Musk comes out and says he is considering buying Bitcoin for his companies, there would be a cascade effect of other companies rushing to buy.

When they're in need, surely they'll putforth statement associated with bitcoin. Maybe we can expect Elon Musk to cone up with the plan of making bitcoin acceptance into the booking of Tesla Cars. Anything could happen, these big names always have a place for bitcoin. Importantly these people have turned themselves billionaires through technology. So, they'll be well updated about things happening around and open-up at the right occasion.

What is this? Michael Saylor larping and wants Elon Musk’s thoughts to larp with him hehehe? He appears to be looking desperate here with bitcoin beginning to weaken in the market.

Doesn't mean that they're going to be required to have a deep dive on literally every sectors of technology though. There's a reason why these big names are only focused on certain fields, and not trying to tackle every single sector like social media and video streaming(excluding Zuck and other people already in these fields of course).

Michael Saylor has his eyes on all that cash Tesla is sitting on. Their $14.5 billion cash position makes MicroStrategy's investment look like child's play. I wonder how that interview would play out. Elon's comments on Bitcoin and cryptocurrency are often flippant, even snarky -- I'm not sure what he really thinks.

Lol, so true. People seem to over-value what these public figures have to say and most times people get influenced by their words. Truth is, most of these big names aren't really into bitcoin (at least not like most of us on this forum).

Regardless if they are into or not into Bitcoin, they are in no way obligated to speak out and promote it. These people are smarter than most(or all) of us; if they think something is a good long-term investment, they know they don't need to shill it to the world for it to be successful.

Why are we rushing the elites into BTC when we should do the exact opposite? I think it's better to let the people get into BTC first, and then the Elites. Otherwise, all we'd do is just allow the Elites to continue purchasing significant amounts of the BTC supply, making the wealth inequality even worse than before.
I'd be curious to find out what Elon thinks about BTC in a serious mood rather than trolly tweets, but let them miss the train. Let the people get more power instead.

You can't really stop the crowd though especially in Twitter, a lot of bitcoin and Tesla fans will definitely be on the defensive against the words that are being used to attack their lord and savior Elon Musk. Or maybe the reason that they fantasize is because this are not just any big personality, maybe the reason is because Elon is one of the Tech giants of 21st century, everyone would definitely love to hear the thoughts of someone that will spearhead a new generation of technology. Although, most people that want to hear this man's thoughts will do a 180 if the words that come out of his mouth will not be on the narrative of this people, in a way they want to hear someone's thoughts on bitcoin but you do not have the ability to disagree about bitcoin.

I don't care about fantasy tweets from big names in tech community. Why do I have to care about them while they for years, for so long don't care about bitcoin or crypto currency. Some of them had negative thoughts on bitcoin, crypto and now when they suddenly make a few fantasy tweets about bitcoin or altcoins, people are mad with their tweets.
Please stop feeding those fantasy tweets. You maybe have better knowledge and have more experience with crypto market than those big names
McAfee, JP Morgan, Elon Musk, hm, none of them are real bitcoiners.

How about we go back to the beginning a month ago when it all started - so let’s take a look at the next tweet : https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1340678358456274948And if anyone is interested in what Mr. Musk thoughts about Bitcoin - next tweets best illustrates this : To him, BTC is just a joke and one of the ways to have fun on Twitter from time to time. This is why many scammers use his name for various scams, so it does us all much more harm than good at the moment. Personally, I find it ridiculous that Saylor is even trying to convince Musk to invest in BTC, but I still understand that he is just trying to convince some more rich people to follow his example.

I don't care what Musk or Saylor have to say about Bitcoin, no one can make me change my perception of Bitcoin that I had formed throughout all these years, so it's gotta be a big yawn from me. Beginners shouldn't listen too much to gurus, they should learn from many sources instead.
And I don't get why people think that Elon is an expert on everything, being the richest man in the world does not make him the smartest.

i don't think bitconers in general care about what people who are not really familiar with bitcoin talk about it. i personally am more interested in spending my time listening to what experts have to say for example watching Andreas Antonopolous is a way better way of spending time. that way at least i both enjoy what i see and i also learn something.

That's just you and the more sort of 'experienced' Bitcoiners; but for most Bitcoiners that mostly just speculate in the short-term though? Especially the newer ones? Yea, they definitely somewhat fantasize about big names talking positively towards Bitcoin. Short-term gains is what's mostly important to them.

Yea, they definitely somewhat fantasize about big names talking positively towards Bitcoin. Short-term gains is what's mostly important to them. Because there will always be two types of Bitcoiners: those who are after Bitcoin's price and those who are after Bitcoin's features. The former will love celebrities and wealthy personalities talk and invest in Bitcoin. They'd probably cheer hard and go ecstatic if the Kardashians would reveal that their thongs have a Bitcoin logo printed on them. They love hype. What matters to them is the price. Anything that would push the price up is much appreciated. The latter may appreciate the price rising just like the former but they don't care about the superficial hype created around Bitcoin. They are not begging for the wealthy and the famous to mention Bitcoin just so the price would be affected. They are not interested in hollow Bitcoin talks involving celebrities.
