 Many caps made big gains. i presume it may extend to March 2021,if Majors goes sideways. Why you think it havent started yet?

To be sincere, I don't think we are ever going to see any special or spectacular altcoin movement better than what we are seeing now. Come to think of it, bitcoin, litecoin, Ethereum all rallied because some one or some people were buying them in large quantities, for altcoins to all rally together, someone has to buy them altogether, which I don't think is possible, altcoins like every other coins has their individual investors, if any altcoin does well, that particular alt will attract other investors and this will cause that particular alt to rally up.
Altcoins arent going to rally together again as it did in 2017/2018, people are wiser now.

It's started. The altcoins started to gain momentum since last month and this time we have some possible scenarios to happen. The first it's already started when bitcoin got pumped and this time we will be facing the big dump.
The second scenario should be altcoin is not yet reaching its peak price and that means the possibility for the bullish momentum to come will always there

Many factors can influence why the Altcoin season has not started, because the Altcoin season will not happen easily if there are still bad things that can affect the market, and I see you are so excited about the Altcoin season, do you hold a lot of tokens and coins?

No i dont,i regret not making a basket. Many coins flying atm. its hard to catch.

I am getting more and more the impression that the altseason will not start this time. I'm not surprised that we will stay at about this level (Ethereum up to $ 1,500) for 1-2 months and then another market crash will occur for a couple of years. It is not a fact that this time it will go according to the 2018 scenario.

The only thing we know for sure is that everything in the cryptocurrency market is always unpredictable and unexpected!

Don't ask if it's getting closer, or when is the altcoin season coming?
This is a question that all of them still can't say it's 100% successful, it's time for accumulation, not Ethereum,
because I think it's too late to be able to enjoy profit on Ethereum, Buy cheap altcoins !,
there are still many altcoins that are still going up and heading for the new ATH!

Not yet dear because in altseason we see gains like 50x 100x in short span of time so the market clearly goes parabolic and unstoppable, considering that i do not think that the real altseason is here yet so maybe still a chance to pile up good alts to really make monster profits in bulls season.

No, altcoin season is yet to start and currently it's only Bitcoin, Ethereum and few other top altcoins which has been bullish especially bitcoin and during last bullrun when the value of Bitcoin increased it opened doors for altcoin which is missing this year, hopefully we will have full fledged altcoin run sooner but there are too many shit/dead coins this time compared to previous bullrun. If Bitcoin rallies at good pace then we might see funds invested into altcoins depending on it's affordability which will provide breakthrough for further pump (similar situation happened with Ripple in 2018).

I also think it has not started but it may not start too. 2017-2018 cycle does not have to be repeated.  There are different variations now. For instance institutional money or Defi madness. So always think bad things going to happen in the crypto space.

I would say that nowadays we see the DeFi projects season, new projects came to the market and lots of them have surpassed and left behind their backs such altcoins old projects that lots of us expected to see on TOP positions. Nowadays we see quite another situation with altcoins - lots of old projects  you may forget forever. Nowadays we see the market of new format. And there are lots of new DeFi startups that showed us good results and surprised a lot.

He just added that question to make it look like that this thread is all about the discussion if we're finally in the altcoin season. But have you noticed the link that he added at the end? it is his main goal.
To add some exposure for that link he had put on this discussion and that seems to be successful for him but I'll never click that link.

I’m about to think if this is indeed an altcoins season but If you look at the holidays coming and events in the US, you’ll also see some downside during that moment. Chinese new year is coming and the newly elect president of the US turns into many speculations. I do hope that we finally enter the altcoins season, its now or never.

ETH has been passed the previous all time high $1200 when bitcoin price stagnant. Yeah, I think we are in the altcoin season, but there will be many people who will make bitcoin as a banchmark to buy and sell. Because they are afraid to see bitcoin price fall a lot like 2018 ago and happened to altcoin.

Now is the right time to choose an altcoin but just for short term investment. Pick an altcoin that has a good fundamental factor, you can see on the exchange what altcoin that has a high volume and you can find behind the increasing price of the altcoin. Like ENJ, the coin has increasing drastically, it is because the coin has accepted in Japan as regulatory approved gaming token.

I am not sure BTC is really finished yet for this bull. Does not feel like bubble territory at all.

it should have started since we saw etherum go up by over $ 1000. Whether later other altcoins will rise or not, at least etherum as the mother of altcoins has increased and this has started.

It was $1400 already tho when Bitcoin was just $16000 lol.

If you want ALTSEASON try Banano or KoinOS they are still cheap and you can get them for a couple of cents like early eth investors got eth for 20 cents

Eth is still bullish since last year it is performing well. While litecoin has rallied and other altcoins showed some good turn, altcoin season has been started already. But more of them still in a verge of struggling to recover like xrp.

Bitcoin price is hiking fast and some altcoins are still following it's steps because of the high scalability that makes it in demand causing altcoins to be bullish too.

is not it the major trend already started? you should watch the chart of top 100 coins CMC and you will get what you wanna try to see. Almost all of the top 100 CMC has been getting big pump since the pump of bitcoin happened.

Altcoin season started since a few months ago and altcoins are still running to its peak price. it's not so many people invested on the crap coins again.
