To be honest I am not a fan of gambling movies but I do love some parts of movies that had gambling clips on them like The Hangover where Alan did what he's reading in his book in the casino. Although my all-time favorite is still 21 which I am still watching until now. It is not my favorite though but I also watched Casino Royale.

I've seen movies about gambling, but I can't remember all their names now. The only one that comes to mind is "21" about a group of friends who decided they could beat the casino. In my opinion this movie is interesting enough so for those who have not seen this movie it can be a good addition to the evening.

It isn't my favorite style of movie, but when I came across this topic I immediately remembered "Rounders" (I had to search for the original title).
The movie is old, from 1998, but it shows a talented player who ended up losing everything he had in a card game.
Depicting the reality of many players here very well.

As a gambling fan, I am definitely looking for films that are related to gambling too. I have watched a lot of gambling movies.

gambling isnt your genre but when it comes to gambling movies this can be your favorite because you watch it and remember a few bits of it .
on the movie the character was talented but why did he loose all what he have ?
 that movie can be ficitional and not based on a real event because if you are a talented gambler you can gamble well and if you know that you are loosing you will learn how to stop before it gets too late .

This is one of my favorite movies of all time. If you don't mind enduring some real degeneracy, I recommend Bad Lieutenant with Harvey Keitel... it's a rough film about a crooked cop who goes way too far in the hole to a bookie, gets addicted to drugs, etc. It's a real uplifting film! Lol.

Which brings me to one of my recent favorites of the last couple years which is Uncut Gems with Adam Sandler. If you haven't watched it yet, I highly recommend it! Another movie about a degenerate gambler which can be painful at times, yet its still a fantastic flick.

Of all the movies that you have mentioned the only one that I have watched was The Cooler. As far as I can remember, it's all about an unlucky guy who always brings bad luck to other players. I'm planning to watch other movies that you have mentioned. Sometimes, it's interesting to watch gambling films.

Up until recently it was The Gambler (the one from 1974, not the one with Mark Wahlberg) in which James Caan had one of the best roles of his career. But then last year Uncut Gems by Safdie brothers showed up, totally blowing my mind. Prior watching i didn't expect much as I am not the biggest Adam Sandler fan, but he had an Oscar worthy performance there, I've never seen degenerate gambler portrayed better. It is a brilliant film, but due hectic style and attack on the senses (even though it makes perfect sense) might be too much for some but its definitely worth of trying.

Few honorable mentions: California Split, The Cooler, Rounders, Molly's Game, Vegas Vacation ( underrated wacky comedy with Chevy Chase)..

I already watch ocean elecven and it is nice movie, I forgot some of the gambling movies that I watched before.
If the movies is gambling related is either they will going show their strategy and about cheating the theme of the movie.

5. The Gambler (2014)

a Profesor with a gambling addiction, he lending to loan sharks and make his life to be complicated. he hasn't risk management and always playing with emotions, this bad for gamblers.

I recommended the Cooler, this is a good movie either, tell about story Bernie where doesn't have gambling skill but had attractive skills where the CEO want to work together.

Interesting, I'll try to watch all the movies you have listed there . I remember a movie, it's not entirely based on gambling but it's based on luck, and it pretty much can to an extent ignite any person to try their luck and makes one really believe that luck is a tangible thing. The movie is a Bollywood one and is made in Hindi, but I guess you might find the movie with English subtitles as well on YouTube. Movie name is "Luck" so it speaks it all, it is a storyline of people having extreme luck in their life competes against one another in an event to win the jackpot, I've liked the movie very much

I don't know about a movie particularly about gambling but there was a movie that I enjoyed a lot with my family and if I know the name was : Fukrey , it's a Hindi Movie in which the guy have some dreams and his friend manipulates them and they always win , it was literally so funny, if anyone is interested in gambling movies they should for sure give it a go , it's amazing. Plus I was thinking about watching the Queen's Gambit , it's a series not a movie but I really liked the trailer and some of the scenes.

At the same time my favourite gambling scene was in Hangover when the guy decided to use mathematics to win the casino over and he succeeded. For me it was indeed amazing.

Honestly this is from where I knew there is something like card counting lol.

i saw that Uncut Gem movie too where they bet on basketball. this is where he motivated the basketball star to do what he could because someone out there look down on him. Adam Sandler's phone in this movie by the way has the screen saver of Bitcoin pendant.

i watched the Cooler's clip in the webpage shared by OP, I did;t get what happens there that he comes out without money yet Baldwin wreck the dice table. it has to be watched fully i guess.

I watched this TV show, and while it's a high-quality show, it's not about gambling. It's about playing chess, and chess is a game of skills. I don't remember casinos there, not as a big part of the plot anyway.
A good movie about gambling that I like is Molly's Game because it's based on real events and goes into details about playing poker, kinds of behaviors poker players engage in and situations that might happen. There's also Uncut Gems which was mentioned a few times in the thread, but honestly, I could barely watch less than an hour of it before turning it off and never returning to it, even though in the vast majority of cases I watch the movies till the end.
