For me, God of Gamblers III with Stephen Chow as starring. the movies with several fresh humor at the time and combined with magic power, the story he is trapped in the past due to evil forces, and tries to return to the present without changing the order of time. Very interesting film IMO

I'm not familiar on these movies since I just have a limited resources to watch the old movies about gambling and I just only watch 21 and Oceans Eleven so this is my top picks obviously. I'm looking for more gambling site movies but this time a game that is more realistic  where gamblers will lose everything and not just about making money.

it's amazing. Plus I was thinking about watching the Queen's Gambit , it's a series not a movie but I really liked the trailer and some of the scenes.

the series is about chess and the "Queen's Gambit" is a name of a strategy in chess. I haven't watched the series (but I plan to) but I have seen the trailer and a scene where the main character is doing chess betting. I am not sure if there are other betting scenes but would still recommend watching it even if the series isn't about gambling.

I am not sure if you are into anime but if you are still looking for a series I recommend watching Kakegurui

You have to spare some time on watching this movie, She's really great and I do love chess game but I think this is not a pure gambling but more about the chess competition, though since there's a money involve if you place your bet, then it can be considered as gambling.

I don't know much about movie gambling titles but as far as I can see, most of the gambling movies are in James Bond movies and also some gambling movies played by Stephen Chow. Maybe the only two are familiar to me, because I have never searched for movies with the keyword gambling and that's why I don't know much about gambling movies, but as far as I have seen movies about gambling at least it's an interesting story and not bored to watch.

I'm not familiar into a movie but one of the best and known is the James bond movies well I'm not pretty familiar about the different movies of him but every time I watch the movie it has a casino and a gambling theme anywhere which marks me and becomes memorable if I saw a casino there is James bond.

After that and becomes the hype of James bond movies I went into a Chinese movie and guess what Jackie chan with his skills and of course there is gambling beside there not totally like casino it's just like having fun with the people playing gambling illegal gambling correct me if I'm wrong it's just a street gambling.

Personally, I love this one film about gambling, Killing Them Softly, starring Brad Fitt, who I always idolize and all the roles he plays I love.
The film Killing Them Softly arrived in 2012 and updated the setting based on George V Higgins' novel, Cogan's Trade set in 1974 in Boston to Louisiana.

I really like that movie as well, all Chinese comedy movie that has a GOD of gambler concepts, and here is the list of GOD of gambler series that I enjoy watching laughing.

Man I love movies. 

In my eye Jason Statham's best movie was transporter and i am a big fan of him too. Specially his action movie fighting scene looks so natural and his body fitness is also noticeable. Although somehow i missed the opportunity of watching Wild Card but have plan to manage some time for that.

For me Ocean's Eleven fit for this field.

21, that movie inspired me to study more and become as intelligent and cunning as the main character. Plus the movie is inspired from a real MIT Blackjack team, which gave me a boost of confidence knowing that with enough training, I could get myself banned in Las Vegas too for being too good at gambling.

I'm not sure if that was the movie or it's the God of Gamblers as what I've read in the other posts after mine.

But that's good, at least I've got now the idea and possible name of that movie. Would like to watch it again just to be sure whichever it is.

What are your picks?

I've seen many decent movies named here, so I'll just list my top 3 gambling-related movies, each of a different genre:

1. "Casino" by Martin Scorsese, a perfect movie that allows you to fully dip into all this gangster-casino atmosphere, demonstrating all of its ups and downs (downs mostly ), drama. Like all Scorsese movies, it's beautifully done, gives you a lot to think about.

2. "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels" by Guy Ritchie. I'd say it's more of a comedy/action movie, but quite interesting though, with an unexpected plot twist. Also, I can't think of a better movie that would demonstrate why one shouldn't rely on gambling to earn money and NEVER-EVER borrow money for gambling purposes, no matter how good this person is;

3. "Molly's Game" by Aaron Sorkin, I'd really recommend everyone who's a newbie in gambling to watch this movie. Not only it is very interesting, and you'll enjoy just watching it, but also consider it as a perfect instruction, explanation of how gambling works, how casinos work, even the rules of some card games are explained if I'm not mistaken.

We have the same taste of films, indeed Ocean Eleven is a very worthy film to watch. I also like the humor in the film that is not too much,
and also another thing that makes Ocean Eleven even more interesting is the many famous actors who play in the film. I really like the role of
George Clooney in the film, indeed he is always totality in each of his films.

The Longshot, The Big Short,  The Cooler, The Hustler, California Split, Hard Eight, and Poolhall Junkies. I specifically skipped poker movies here because it is not true gambling. Also when two pool hustlers play against each other, it is largely gambling as luck is often a determining factor in who wins.

Agreed on The Big Short. It depicts the stupidity of people who gamble on derivatives or also called bets derived from the market. It is also a depiction of how markets can collapse during a situation when everyone does not expect it. Is the cryptospace in a similar setting hehehe?

My dad was a fan of James Caan, he and I watched The Gambler when I was a kid but I don't think I've seen it since then.  The other one I recall watching with my dad was California Split.  I'll have to check those two out again.

I've tried to watch Uncut Gems twice already, and I keep getting distracted.  I often put on movies while I'm cooking dinner or cleaning up after, but that movie isn't one that works as a background flick.  I'll give it another shot one of these days.

The Oceans movies are great, I liked all of them. It's more movie about a casino heist and successful theifs than about gambling directly. However the atmosphere and feeling of Las Vegas is awesome in the movies. Its definitely a must watch for everybody. As a pure gambling film I really liked 21, its the story of the MIT professor and his students starting out their card counting careers.

I have not seen this movie mentioned, titled Bookies. This is about 3 college students who always lose in sportsbetting but created their own sportsbook in their dorm room. This might be a similar story on how some of the sportsbooks began in the cryptospace hehe.

I only watched Croupier 1998 from the list and i may say yeah this is one good gambling movie .

Honestly speaking i don't really love movies about Gambling because i only Get frustrated when i am not the one who's playing in the screen when winning comes lol.
