It's still early to think about a devastation for most countries. Yes, let's say that many of them have been in bad situation because of the effect of covid19 but with the other problems that they're dealing with remains until it's been solved or gets a remedy.

People who have negative thinking will always be at the bad side, instead of thinking about uplifting themselves, they look for a reason and someone to blame with their misfortune. And many of these problems don't just existed since last year up to now, they were there for a long time.
