I dont know what application that he trying to buy that XRP, but when i see the complete picture from the source. Its already stated that "In light of the SEC's action against Ripple Labs, ... trading in XRP has been suspended". So I dont think he want to promote XRP, he want to gain hype for himself with this XRP issues.

Lol, it's pretty obvious that he didn't know what's going on XRP right now, all US based crypto trading exchanges have suspending their withdrawal/deposit on XRP because of the recent lawsuit filed by US SEC to XRP.

So I don't know what he is trying to accomplished here, except being dumb as f**k. Or he is another case of celebrity involving themselves in crypto because of the recent hype, but oh boy, not XRP.  , epic fail!!!

What he is doing is nothing but to grab attention from the Ripple community. It has been already stated by Coinbase that XRP trading has been halted, after that if he is still trying to buy XRP he will get such error message. To what extent these celebrities can go in order to gain attention and stay in the limelight is nothing new. I will not be surprised if he comes out with a song related to this issue.

Getting attention without spending any money, that's a smart public stunt I guess.

He can buy XRP on other exchanges that are not from US then why he is asking about buying it. And the famous Rapper doesn't know the meaning of halt, he is trying to buy after the service stopped for that coin.

Or maybe he didn't fully understand what the message was about, this guy is a musician not a crypto follower so there is a probability that he is not aware of the xrp situation, either way, he can purchase something different if he is truly interested in buying crypto,  I think he already have enough hype as a celebrity, this one won't do him much.

It’s a bet (like every other crypto) but that one can do a x10 in short time if the suit is going well. It’s possible as a lot of country already declared XRP is not a security. Instead of laughing at him, he knows exactly what he’s doing, First off, to create well a person must have determination and also some sort of resources to start with whether it be monetary or a good network. From their, the possibilities are endless.

If Souja Boy prolly didn't know of the lawsuit against XRP and wanted to buy XRP then stumbled upon this issue, he can find out what's wrong without posting it on the internet, that's why this looks like he was trying to promote XRP, or garner some attention to himself, but whichever it is, I don't think it's going to help XRP's case, quite a lot of their investors have dumped the coin, and some exchanges have stopped trading/buying of XRP for now. The only thing that could work in favor of XRP is a positive verdict when the lawsuit is over, but for now, any sort of promotion imo is futile.

I think soulja boy music isn't what it was then as it is now, he may be trying maybe try out some influencer role, this is just my guess or opinion, I don't think its his first time universally making anything about crypto-currency, I don't think he knows it isn't like doing music, like he makes mistakes and rather than get to be knowledgeable about them with people he can meet up with he choose it to be on social media -thats another mistake-

It maybe another way of hyping the coin after its downfall or it maybe that Soulja Boy doesn't really know anything about crypto at all and he is just buying because he wants it .

If he really is interested in crypto then for sure that there will be some people there who will teach him at least the basics of it like selling, buying, transferring etc. Its just good that another popular person have interest on crypto.. or is he??

I'm sure the guy knew about the XRP lawsuit, he did that intentionally just to draw on eye on himself, he isn't a newbie and the SEC announcement is well know in US, anyways, coinbase isn't the only exchange one can buy XRP, it's still trading on many exchanges

AFAIK most of the celebrities usually rarely tweets and indirectly making promotion like this unless they got the endorsement. but soulja boy might be an exception though considering how in the past he indirectly pirate nintendo games by promoting some obscure console filled with pirated nintendo old games lol.

but there is another opinion if this guy really want to buy xrp, because he think the price of xrp is in the bottom now and maybe he think there is no big issue to xrp, or maybe he try to give us an informations if xrp was suspended on coinbase

There are still a lot of people betting their money on XRP, I am also a bit hesitant and change my mind about XRP. I have made a lot of profit from buying XRP and sold it for $ 0.6, but I started to rethink the problem that we always have a lot of FUDs in the main uptrend so for this case it is acceptable receive. I would laugh very brightly if there was a better return on betting than analysis.

Is he going to bet this money or what, he's a US citizen and buying XRP can be a big deal. Although XRP could still be traded outside US it's just reckless as a US citizen like him to buy XRP amidst the problems that XRP need to deal.

I mean, even the description in his screenshot pretty much self explanatory I wonder why he didn't have the idea to google for a little bit about XRP  .

Imagine if he is able to buy XRP right now then few months later asking why he can't sell if the US citizens turns out to be limited or suspended from buying XRP  .

Getting paid for promotion maybe. It doesn't make sense if he was not aware about that. The ripple foundation is usually pay the influencer to promote its coin.
It's not only this but this foundation was also paying the shillers for that too.
Im not thinking if soulja interesting to buy the coin that has already faced the problem with SEC.

"Trading is not supported for this asset" is quite enough to explain that you can't buy that asset from that exchange and I think Coinbase is yet to fully stop supporting XRP maybe they are still giving users the opportunity to withdraw. Also, assuming he doesn't get the message, then it means he isn't highly informed on what's happening with XRP, and I doubt if he will still continue when he comes in light of XRP case with SEC, hence a very good reason to be always informed or make findings before investing in cryptocurrencies so that you don't end up losing.
On the other side, talking about hyping it, you might be correct because I don't think someone of such height won't know what's happening, however, I don't think that will work because many people are not ready to take that type of risk with XRP when they don't know what will be the outcome of the case.

You are right, he's not a novice that would not understand the issue with ripple project and US SEC, the news went viral and somebody of his caliber should be aware about the incident, so, probably he just wanted some dust from his end. There are still exchanges that anyone can buy Ripple coin than only considering Coinbase exchange.

That doesn't make sense if soulja didn't know about that or at least his followers will give awareness about that for him. SEC was also creating an announcement about that and that being said if SEC takes legal action against it.
