Pining useful thread

Time changes, previous laws gets modified, new models comes in, people can get more knowledge than some, but what ever happens useful things is searched for and each changing times.

Undisputed that all pin threads are one of the best useful thread for the board, and they shouldn't be unpinned except a new one modifies it,-although the author can edit- but they can be very useful thread that doesn't modify any pin thread, but it has it own space of usefulness that may or should be for everyone especially the late readers, I think the pinning of message is very rigid I can understand its for a better composed forum, but a little flexibility can apply for extremely useful post to be pinned or if more than one grouped in Links on one thread and pinned, they can be many ways this can work in neatness, and immortalizing fresh knowledge.

Every additional thread dilutes the value of previous threads.

We know this with the monetary policy of the central banks - that's why we picked Bitcoin. So why would you do the same thing to the most valuable threads here?What threads, in particular, are you talking about?

I don't see anything that is worth pinning that can't be sought out via a simple search.

You could make your own page for this realistically or just have a text editor with some saved links in it.

I could see a "favourites" section becoming useful at some point although your browser should also have bookmarks that you should be able to use.

For each board, you have to create a hub thread to link them all. Who is creating such threads? If you are interested, you are free to create one thread for any single sub board and ask for petition to the thread sticky. If admin once does, you can go for other boards as well.

This could result in Information overload, especially for newbies. There are already so many threads with useful information for members to read, and I believe only those which contains imperative information should be pinned, like the board description or rules of engagement, such information is not modified often, and if it is, it's structured around the original post and only an edit is required.

I doubt there are so many of such cases where new threads needs to be pinned and if you do come across one, you could request for it to be pinned. I remember one was recently pinned on one of the boards on request. This is not just as common to be an issue yet.

I know this may make a congestion if tried with so many good useful post, but if there are exception -would link if found- I don't know if there are flexibility to allow room for current pinning of post @upgrade00 said there has been one recently so my curiosity has been satisfied.
