Version 4.0.9 don't work on OS X 10.11

Hi to all,

I downloaded the latest version, 4.0.9, but when I try to open it nothing appears. The application doesn't open and doesn't work at all.
I tried both installing over the previous one, 3.3.8, and uninstalling it before installing the new one.
Is it a known bug or is it just me?

It depends on your current MacBook models there are some models that can't able to upgrade/update with the latest version.

You are in luck.
Latest version for 10.11 is 3.3.8. You can see on internet archive that 3.3.8 was 10.11 and 4.0.4 was 10.13.
I'm saying that you're in luck because versions older than 3.3.4 should not be used, but 3.3.8 is fine.

That's not a bug. macOS X 10.11 does not support Electrum 4.0.9. I'm also a macOS X 10.11.6 user. The last Electrum that can still run on this OS is version 3.3.8.



I personally use the dual OS. For the latest Electrum (4.0.9), I'm using macOS 10.15.
