If you want to avoid bitcoin related scams, then why not just have a common sense and research the business that is being proposed to you, it is that easy. Why do you have to put your a link about avoiding when you could have listed it here.

I guess it is one of those websites that will automatically open lots of popups with advertisements. It seems you checked the website. I have always been interested to know that is it as easy to get malware on your PC as clicking on such a website? A lot of phishing emails have links that will automatically download files but I don't think any operating system will allow a program to execute without user permission. I remember that back in the first decade, we used to be wary of the autorun and initialization scripts on USB drives. That was probably the easiest way to get malware on your 256 MB RAM PC. I wonder how advanced have things gotten now that even a smartphone has several times more processing power.

If you asked me Ive seen a lot of type of scams aside from what you mentioned. Mostly these are methods on earning like double the money, free airdrops that have required deposits and social phishing involving popular people.
I didn't click the blog, don't want to take risk on some malware or phishing if ever it has.

I got scammed before because of not being knowledgeable enough and without good experience as well so I can say that the best way to avoid getting scammed is to get knowledgeable, learn and do some research it will let you know if the website that you are going to try is legit or not, we all have the resources and it will only up to us if we are going to use it for goods.

If you are shilling for your website then you should at least hook your potential readers by giving some snippets of articles or a summary of the article and then promote your website, that way they can see if it will pique their interest to read more. Everything that applies to that saying should keep someone's guard up, if you are approached by a friendly stranger out of nowhere beware, if someone you did not remotely know offers something that can help you make money still applies.

To answer your question in title:
- You read about other people's experiences - how they got scammed - how they avoided getting scammed - etc - You do not trust anyone - Always check before doing business with any company - read reviews about websites or companies you plan to order something from - NEVER give your private key to anyone - If you ever get contacted by anyone you do not know via private messages, talk with them and see how they operate (as they are most likely a scammer)

That site you posted is probably loaded with malware .
Most probably you are right because in recent times this types of malwares are being into the sight of cyber security cells and they can installed into your system within seconds when you can click on link so you need to be safe from such attacks. In recent times a malware named ElectroRat is detected which is written in scratch an open source programming language and when you click on it it is installed in your system instanly "ElectroRAT is extremely intrusive. It has various capabilities such as keylogging, taking screenshots, uploading files from disk, downloading files and executing commands on the victim’s console. The malware has similar capabilities for its Windows, Linux and macOS variants." This type of malware are purchased on dark web and recently one of the poker site used it to attack the wallets of nearly 6400 users draining coins from their wallets and their information is compromised and being sold in dark web for money eaily. They have designed different malwares for windows,Linux and Mac and see you don't get to know until your wallets are drained and you will not what has happened so stay alert always of such kind of links.

Also don't click any random links 'cause you don't know where it leads to or what might activate when you enter the link. You also must check the link you are going with because I've seen many duplicated website, there's a high chance that is a phishing site. In general, to avoid these scams all you need to do is to be knowledgeable because ignorance was not an excuse. Just a reminder, scammers have always a new way to scam people so gotta be careful. Mostly the links are sent through email that is why if you received suspicious mail better not to open it.

Before easily click on each random link you come across, research its authenticity. Examine the company you will collaborate with and check and review the users' experiences.

The last item you mentioned is very common especially in social media channels. I have had received unsolicited pms in telegram channel posing as official account of the exchange or the project. What you can learn from here is that, official reps/staffs won't initiate sending PMs to you. And one way to check is their accounts, if they are indeed part of the official staffs. Please be careful with the usernames, usually they change 1 or 2 letters or using characters which are similar to the official name, they even use the official logo of the platform. But if you ignored them, you will noticed in few days time, their account is shown as deleted.

I think if you just keep your eyes and brains open and think that why would someone do that for me. Even this would solve most of your problems relating to scams. Scams sometimes can happen due to bad luck like a huge exchange shutting down due to hacking or something but generally, it's the people who are at fault they trust exchanges that are not that worthy and then cry after losing money. When someone is promising you man-month returns on your money and charging small fees for that this in itself is a big alert. Have you ever seen anyone sharing their secret recipe to mint money? no one does that! Keep your brains open don't get lured for might returns.

Like many users have suggested that you could be the owner of know something about the link you provide. You need to show a little about what is in on it so that people can understand without clicking but I hope is not related to ponzi because that is a sure way to scam.

There are so many of them.
I would include phishing sites, spam or phishing emails, or any kind of messages which are soliciting investments, providing links which are probably containing malwares such as the one in the OP itself, etc.
There are also talks, seminars, meetups, etc where the resource persons and organizers are simply promoting their questionable projects and products.
There are also scam ads everywhere.
You name it. The internet is so full of it.

Posts like these were still effective for those who doesn't seem aware of what's the point of the post. Since the link and the user who posted the thread were confusing since diginifex is an exchange platform.

I have come across many sites in this field and I have lost a lot of money by these sites. But some other sites pay you less or less than what was in the law when they returned it or ask you for thousands of credentials to make you regret it.

before saying another exchange is a scam, maybe you should explain the ins and outs of the Digifinex platform itself, rather than saying other platforms. whereas it is clearly a scam with very positive suspicion.
