Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

it is not perfect time to buy gpu, very expensive like 2x 3x even 4x prices right now.
But if you insist go ahead and get 1660s,1660s,3060ti,3070,3080 from nvidia they are easy to mine for newbie.
AMD- rx 470,480,570,580,590,5600,5700,vega,radeon7 but you need alot time to configure them Smiley
These cards are good but do not forget get at least 6G memory.

Do not buy any old ones.

buy amd

5500 8gb

5600 6gb. weakest choice due to 6gb but if you get it cheap buy it.

5700 8gb

6800 xt 16gb

6900 xt 16gb overkill

with or with out the xt

buy

nvidia
3060ti 8gb
3070.  8gb
3080.  10gb

3090.  24gb over kill

I would buy any of the above if I can get them cheaply

these are my least favorite to buy.
the amd 6900 xt
the nvidia 3090

but If I can get any of the above at proper pricing I would buy 2-3k worth

Use whattomine site and go to gpu's section.

From what i know it is the best site to show daily gpu profits.

You can mix teams of gpus (Amd/nvidia).  It does complicate things a bit more but it works.  I mix them in linux on several rigs with no issues.  I think you want to put the nvidia card in the first gpu slot for some reason but just the way i do it...im sure somebody else does it other ways.

The 6900 is a bad choice because it has a low return vs its high cost. Same for 3090. They are nice cards but just too expensive vs other cards....although all cards are crazy price right now most places.  A 3060ti or 5700XT are better choices...as the 3070/3080 and 6800 cards.
Both Minerstat and whattomine.com are fine calculators.  Its a moving target and its only an estimate.

I won't dare invest money on gtx1660s for future proof because the cards have 6gb variants only, ETH DAG is over 4gb right now and very soon 6gb won't be enough anymore but I guess that will take years for the day to come, it's better to buy 8gb cards

The DAG file will exceed 6GB in february 2024, who knows what will happen until then... If you can get 6GB cards for decent price (GTX1660 Super/Ti or RX5600 XT) my advice is to get them
And when ETH goes to POS it really wont matter how much memory does your GPU have, the GPU mining era will be over

Wait for the 3060 (without ti).
When they show up you might get one at a good price.
Lower end cards hold their value often better (in %).

As if Ethereum is the only algorithm one can mine with graphic card, era of gpu mining over my foot, Conflux (Octopus algorithm) is even more profitable on some graphic cards than Ethereum, before Ethereum mining stops we might see more profitable coins to mine

That is if he is able to get them at MSRP price, some people are out there waiting to get their hands on 50 of these cards and probably resell in this season, annoying way of making money, we call them scalpers, same thing is affect console gamers too

The answer is simple. RTX 3060 Ti is currently the best card for mining, and is futureproof since it's an nVidia and can mine other coins, and the second-best is RTX 3070. Same hashrate/power as 3060 Ti but costs a bit more.

AMD's equivalent is RX 5700 (XT or non-XT, doesn't matter), but this card is EOL and is difficult to find. Plus it's an AMD so it's very difficult to set up properly. You got to mod the BIOS and then tinker with it for days before you reach the hashrate other people get. I own many AMD cards and I was finally able to breathe and have some free hours in my work day when I switched to nVidia. I had no idea they are so good and so easy to work with.

Yes you can buy 1 card only, and 550W PSU is enough for two cards.
